Chapter 1

It's the day before I'm leaving for New York and I'm going to continue the filming for Pitch Perfect 3. I'm also getting dinner with Harry, mom, and the twins. I decide to put on a suede skirt, a white sweatshirt, and a baseball cap. For Christmas mom got me this really pretty long green dress, but she wouldn't say what it was for. 

Right before I leave, I talk to mom about the security guards. "Mom, I'm old enough to not have bodyguards following me around everywhere. It's annoying," I say. "Leslie, I'm just trying to keep you safe. You're not like normal teenagers, you're different so you need more safety requirements," she says not looking up from her phone. 

"I know, but I just hate being followed and monitored all the time." I say. She sighs and looks up. "I don't like it either, trust me. But God forbid Ryan somehow finds you and tries to kidnap you or something... I wouldn't forgive myself," she says. I don't say anything, but I nod. I understand how much she worries about me. 

This Ryan situation really shook her up, more shaken up then I've ever seen her. She wouldn't go out of the house, and the only time she'd get out of bed was to feed the twins. These last few weeks I've just been working all the time, to keep myself busy. I tried to stay off of social media, and I've kind of blown off all of my social life. 

But Daniel's been there for me throughout this whole mess, and I'm really grateful for that. I'm just not sure that I can let someone else into my life to hurt me again. I'm also really busy with work, and I'm not really ready for anything really serious. 

⚪️⚪️⚪️AT THE SET⚪️⚪️⚪️

Once I arrive to the set, there are a million paparazzi. Of course there are, since I've kind of been in hiding for two months. They keep yelling at me asking questions like, 'LESLIE WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THESE PAST MONTHS?!' 'HOW'S KENDALL AFTER THE COURT MEETING' 'WHAT'S ON YOUR AGENDA FOR THE NEW YEAR?!' I just cover my face and luckily the guards also block their view of me. 

As soon as I get in, I'm relieved. It feels good to be on set. It's like I forget about the real world and just do what I'm passionate to do. "Hey Leslie," Anna Kendrick says to me. "Hi," I say smiling. Out of all the cast, her and Hailee make me feel the most welcome. "What did you do for New Years? A big Kardashian blowout?" She jokes. I shake my head. "No, my mom and sisters went on a yacht in St. Barths," I say and she nods. 

"I get you. I was kind of alone on New Years Eve too. Well, I'm going to say hi to Rebel," she said smiling. I sigh and realise I'm getting a call from mom. I answer, but I have to go in the bathroom since we're not allowed to have calls on set. 

"Mom, what is it? I'm not allowed to call on set," I say impatiently. "Leslie Nora-Khloé Jenner! What has gotten to your damn mind?!" She yells. What the hell is she talking about? "Mom, wha-" "You lied about the Forever 21 meeting? I just found out because I'm your agent, and I contacted Do Won Chang and he said that there are no meetings scheduled for tomorrow in New York," she says. 

Shoot. "Um, I guess there's an error in the system, cause-" "Cut the bullshxt Leslie. Why do you want to go to New York?" She demands. I'm in huge trouble. I put my hands on my forehead, trying to come up with a lie. I hate lying to my mom, but she's going to kill me if she knows the real reason. 

Just as I'm about to say something, when I hear the director call for me. "Sorry mom, but I have to go," I say abruptly and hang up. I know I have a lot of explaining to do at dinner, but I don't want to worry about that right now. 

⚪️⚪️⚪️AT DINNER⚪️⚪️⚪️

I decide to stall on set and just drive myself to dinner, since I don't want an awkward car ride where mom yells at me the whole time. I try to brace myself for dinner. I know it's just going to be a bunch of drama.

When I arrive there are paparazzi, as usual. I run inside before they can catch up. Once I'm inside I spot mom, Harry, and the twins in the VIP section. Mom notices me and has a stern facial expression.  Oh God. 

"Hi guys," I say sitting down. "Leslie, you better tell me what the hell you're trying to do in New York right now," she says. "Well, I'm actually going to Mahogany's clothing line event, but I didn't think you'd let me go since the incident. But her family can't make it, and she was really counting on me," I say. 

Moms face changes. "Oh. Well, why didn't you say that? I thought you were going to visit some boy or something. Of course you can go to your friends event. Just don't lie to me again," she says firmly at the end. I feel horrible for lying to her, especially with what's going on. But I just want to have fun and do something for me for once. 

All through dinner I just stay kind of quiet and don't eat much. I just want this night to be over and to leave for New York tomorrow and get it over with.
