Lost Girl (ep.5)

Traveling through the village was easy, but through the trees and forest around the outskirts was easier yet for Jynx. She arrived near her old home and saw an actually decent place where she was now allowed to live, train, teach, and protect the children she watched over. She smirked noticing how large it actually was, and judging by its size, there were different buildings. She knew right away, the Hokage and others were actually working on rebuilding what she and her husband wanted to build a long time ago... Before the fire. This was what her father had previously started before being killed in the Attack of the Nine Tailed Beast. His land he had bought was then passed to his wife, then with her passing, Jynx was the rightful owner of the plot. 

By rules, it was outside of the Village, so her husband could sneak in and out easily. They had a small restaurant on the edge, but also a smaller dojo where she could teach kids how to fight even if they weren't ninjas. She used to teach children in her small living quarters that she was given which came with her job, but this was and upgrade she dearly wanted. And needed.

Since they were outside of the village, technically, they could do anything to the building. The Hokage knew she would abide by the laws, well as much as he could hold on her, but the place was hers. Jynx eyed the main building with a walk way to another section with rooms to house other orphan children as well. The extra rooms for her students were all added on the main piece of the house. She looked at the new place and felt tears well up into her eyes. She remembered it the way it was a few years ago before it burned. Jynx even remembers how her bedroom was set up and how her parents' was just next to hers. "I love it Sarutobi. Just needs a zen yard, and maybe I can move my workshop from the village to here, make some room for another small business. With this place, I could do all my seamstress work here instead. And all the cooking I could do here! Even earn money renting the rooms out!"

Lord Hokage stood in front with two of the children. Shiru and Thorn watched Jynx arrive a little behind schedule from when she should've been there. He nodded and smiled slightly, "I agree. That sounds like something we could organize for you as well. I hope you don't mind the additions we made. The restaurant, next to the rooms for travelers, was mainly my idea. I really just need some of your cooking again. It is nearly the best in town too. Your food makes me feel like my wife was in the kitchen once more... Say, did you really have the time to go get a new set of clothes on?"

Jynx smiled at the maroon kimono type dress and nodded. She now wore just black shorts underneath without the mesh but also had black boots that reached up her calves. She wore her usual headband, only now tightly tied under her bust. Only this time, she wore a black fabric that resembled more of a tsuke obi under the tied headband. "Of course after my fight, I wanted to look more presentable for my three... Students..." She stared, almost counting mentally.

The Hokage's face soured and had a look not of disgust, but similar. Not at Jynx but more or less to himself. He took a puff from his pipe and sighed, "I must inform you that your third student has ran away. She seemed not to exactly like it here for sure. I'm afraid you will have to find her."

Jynx smiled warmly and nodded as she walked towards the Hokage. She sighed and looked around the trees. Upon closing her eyes, she stood still and listened closely. "Who all do you have in the forest right now?"

"Only five men. My orders were to keep it quiet. If that is alright with you."

"She's really young. Around 11 I take it? You two," Jynx opened her red eyes and watched the two children in front of her and smiled, "You're no older than 13 or 14 right?"

Shiru smiled an nodded. "I am only 12 but soon, in October, I will be turning 13." She gave a familiar smile that made Jynx and The Hokage feel a pit rot in their stomachs.
