I started to lie on top of the rock with my fingertips combing my hair as I stared up to the surface of the water. I could feel the sun from the bottom of the ocean, I could feel my skin warming up. My hair waved in front of my face, the blue strains waving back and forth.
"You probably shouldn't be here." I heard a soft voice, but ignored it. I couldn't bother, I wanted to stay, not do anything else. "Your majesty, you really shouldn't be here." I sat up, blowing the hair out of my face.
"And you shouldn't be bothering me." I darted a stare at the young fish. He just looked back nervously. The more I looked at him the more I knew about his species. "Now leave, Guppy." The Guppy. quickly swam away, leaving the sight.
I laid back down and continued to stare. The strains of hair continued to wave in front of my face, tickling the tip of my nose. I just kept looking up.
"Majesty!" The soft voice returned. "Majesty, this is an emergency!" I sat up turning my attention towards Guppy.
"What is it?" I swan closer to him.
"We're being under attack my the Carp Region!" I got closer to Guppy, grabbing his fin.
"What do you mean?" I say as I grab his fin tighter. I tossed him aside, swimming back towards the layer.
"Your Majesty, wait for me!" I looked back, seeing the little Guppy desperately swimming as fast as he could behind me. I grabbed his fin and swam even faster. "I'll just keep an eye out, watch your fins, your highness."
"It's Majesty, you stupid Guppy." I barked as I tried to return safely. "You're lucky I even helped you." I suddenly could feel a presence near me, not Guppy, but bigger. I quickly stopped, realizing that we weren't alone.
"Why'd you sto-"
I covered his mouth, trying to hear anything. "Shut up." He nodded with my hand still on his mouth. I could feel his fins gliding around my waist and long fin, making it hard to focus.
"Guppy, I need you to stop touching me-" He quickly swam off me. "I also need you to swim over there." I whispered, I pointed in front of us, at a rock where I felt most presence.
"Yes, your majesty." Guppy swam slowly by the rock, his blue fin slowly grazing each grain of sand. He looked at the rock and swam beside it, shaking every second second he had gotten closer. I followed behind, making sure it was clear.
"Anything?" He shook his head. He swam the rock, I stayed in front, waiting for him to swim back. "Guppy?" He didn't swim back. "Guppy, are you alright?" I looked above the rock, seeing red slowly rise upwards. It was blood. "Who's back there?"
I quickly swam backwards and looked around. "Come out now." I demanded. "Is this the carp region? Show yourself!"
A swarm of fish swam upwards then down towards me, spinning around me, trapping me inside. "Let go of me!" I stuck my arm out, trying to break free but there were too many and they were to strong. I could feel them lift me, they were in control.
"Bastards." I just went with the water and let them take me wherever, hoping it wasn't death.
What felt like hours, the fish let me loose, landing into a castle floor. "Well, look at what we have here?" The woman's voice sheered through my ear. "Miss Riva, I see." She swam closer towards me, putting her finger under my chin. "Still looking ravishing, such a waste." I pulled my head awat.
"What do you want, you witch?" I snarled, glaring at her. "I have places to be so if you don't mind letting me go-"
"Oh nonsense." She cut me off, while swimming off to the side, grabbing her tiara. "I got you for a reason." She looked back towards me, grinning. "I got you so I could help you."
"Help me? Do you not know who I am?" Her body face towards me. "I don't need help, I'm a queen."
"The queen of Guppy's?" She chuckled. "Or should I say, dead Guppy's. Listen sweetheart-" She swam quickly in front of me, her white hair nearly touching my face. "I know why you left your kingdom."
"How would you know? You're a stupid octopus." She grabbed my face, pulling it even closer to hers.
"Don't push it sweetie." She let go. "Do you not know who I am?"
"I do."
"Then you should know that I can help you." I swam up to her, slowly.
"You can't."
"Of course I can!" She said loudly, raising her hand up in excitement. She then placed her hands on her hips, leaning towards my face, smiling. "I'm Ursula, it's what I do."
"How?"
"Well, you're Dad is sick so the only way you can get him his cure is to become human and get it on land!" She laughed and swam above me, spinning happily. "And the only way you can do that is to make a deal with me!"
"What is your deal? And so you know, I'm not as stupid as that little mermaid." Ursula laughed, rushing to her place of potions.
"I know you're not." She came back with a bottle, showing it to me carefully. "Now I need you to listen, and listen very closely." She winked and showed me another bottle, but it was empty. "If you drink this potion, you'll gain some legs and you will keep your legs until you fill this bottle." She smirked.
"Fill the bottle with what?" I grabbed the potion and bottle, staring at it.
"Good deeds." I looked up, looking at her with confusion. "I know that sounds weird, but when you go up there, and you help someone, someone who is very lost, and you help heal them, this bottle will fill with their hope. Each time this happens, the more it gets filled."
"So what's the deal?!"
"Here's the deal: I give you your legs and you fill this bottle and bring it back to me." She smirked, getting close to my face, smirking the whole way. "That is the deal."
"Listen, I don't do 'good deeds' or whatever, I'm a villain. So are you, so why are you helping me out in the first place?"
"Because it'll help me! ... So, do we have a deal?" She smiled from ear to ear, looking at me more evilly. "I know you want to help your dad feel better, this is the only way." I froze up.
"Fine." I stuck out my hand. "We have a deal."
"Oh no sweetheart." She flicked her hand and summed up a contract with a pen. "I do contracts, not handshakes." She grinned, handing me the pen. She quickly handed me the pen and made me sign by the giant X. "Good luck sweetheart, when you drink the potion, you'll be able to grow legs."
I looked back at the bottles and started to swim off but was pulled back from my fin. "Hold on sweetheart-" She still held on to my fin, making me stay still. "You're gonna need some help." Ursula snapped her fingers, signaling all the fish to line up in a form. "Kai, come here!"
A small blowfish quickly swam in front of Ursula, giving her a salute. "Yes Ma'am?!" He puffed out his chest, eager to help. Ursula turned her attention back at me and pointed at Kai.
"He's going to help you."
"A blowfish is going to help me heal my dad?" Kai smiled swimming up to me.
"Yes ma'am!" I just looked at him. "Ursula has told this day would come, when you drink the potion, I'll become human too! Man! I cannot wait!" Kai swam around me spinning with joy. "Cannot wait to work with you!"
Ursula grabbed Kai by the end of his fin, pulling him closer so she'll be holding the both of us. "Shut up you stupid fish, I was suppose to explain."
"Just let us go now." Ursula smiled a released the both of us.
"Good luck."
I looked at the bottle, the golden rim shine and teased me. I placed the bottle against my lips and I could hear my heart beat faster. Kai swam in front of me, smiling. "It's okay, you'll be fine." I tipped the bottle and the flavor of the potion was sour.
When I swallowed it, my eyelids became heavier, then everything became darker.
