"Hey mate. You ready?" Luke says from behind my door.

"Yeah." I sigh.

Opening the door, Luke walks in.

"Here. Open your hand." He says softly.

I follow instinctively

He places a shiny ring in my hand.

"You're supposed to give this to me at the altar." I say smiling at the precious thing.

"Well. I don't think I'm responsible enough to do that." he replies softly. "look you'll be fine. Just be who she knows. Be yourself."

"I'm nervous I won't make her happy." i breathe out beginning to frown.

placing a hand on my back he begins to speak. "You've made her the happiest girl for a long time. You can't disappoint her now. All you need to do is hold your heart in your hand and wear your blazer. She'll love it."

A grin begins to show itself.

"When you're ready I'll be in the car." He says getting up. Closing the door behind him. I look into my hand. I look at the ring.

"mmmm.. I love this pasta!" Abigail exclaims.

"Oh? What exactly about this pasta do you love ?" I reply smiling softly.

"Well I guess it's that I'm sharing it with you." she smiles back delightfully. "Not to mention you're buying." She finishes winking.

I chuckle slightly.

"But seriously how did you even afford this?" She asks twirling the pasta.

"I've been saving." I reply. "I've been saving for a long time."

"You know you didn't have to right? I would've been happy to just have pizza and some movies. That would've been fine."

'That's not right for tonight.' I think to myself.

"Yeah but tonight is special and we did that yesterday for your birthday."

"Sure, but would you not have like to do that again?" She asks

"Hmm not tonight. Tonight is special."

"Yeah but so was last night."

I sigh lightheartedly.

"Abigail Rose Jade Byers?"

"Yes?"

Getting down on one knee i breathe in and out trying to control my nerves, I pull the ring from my pocket. Looking up at her I say "Will you marry me?"

Her eyes widen as she looks around at all the people, who are also staring right back at her. Her cheeks go red as she tries to control her breathing.

"Kenneth Michael Jay. Yes, more than words can express. Yes i will." she says looking back at me, slight tears rolling down her rosy cheeks.

"WOOOO!" The once classy restaurant now has now turned into a political rally, people clapping and cheering and this place nothing like it used to be. While i sit there, stunned.

I feel her arms wrap around me and her tears softly roll onto my shoulders. I suddenly breathe again and smile, I smile a lot.

"You right? All strapped in ?" Luke asks.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm all good to go." A small smile resting across my face.

"Alright, well off we go also tell me if you need me to stop."
