Velarius awoke, blinking. Light hit his eyes, causing him to squeeze them shut again.
<i>Where was he?<i> <i>Why was he here?<i>
He propped up on his elbow, slowly about to get on his knees as well.
He blinked again, the wooden floor blurred in front of his eyes. Anxiety was crawling through his bones and strands of his hair hung waywardly into his eyes.
A whine of fear and exhaustion escaped his throat.

The male sat up on his knees, his hands roaming over the floor while he looked around in the room.
It wasn't too small or too big. A comfortable size.
Two contiguous sites of it were windows, going from the floor to the ceiling and had a lock so you would need a key to open them. The rest were white walls.

On the floor lay blankets and pillows, right next to one window, and a single door of dark brown wood was let into one wall.
Velarius eyed the door up for a moment and glanced outside again.
It snowed outside. The white coldness covered the surrounding forest in a thick layer.
A shiver run down his spine and he realized that his clothes where gone, only a pair of white underpants had been left.
He blushed, rubbing his hands over his arms to warm up. Goose bumps had spread over his skin.

He moved to stay on his feet and staggered towards the door, still feeling a little dizzy and having a headache.
Velarius tried to remember what had happened, but his memories were gone, as if someone had erased them. Some blurred, some black.

He laid a hand on the knob and wanted to open the door, but it wouldn't move. Closed. It was closed.
Panic spread through Velarius. He tried again, this time more fiercely, but nothing happened. The door wouldn't move, not even inch. Not matter how hard he tried.

He stepped back, trying to get his head clear to think. A few seconds passed, they felt like an eternity for him, and with each second he got more nervous.
Then there was the sound of a key opening a lock and the door opened.

Velarius eyes widened. Another male stood in front of him, a male he didn't know, a male who was larger than him and seemed much stronger.
He had his arms crossed and looked down on Velarius, slightly sour, one eyebrow raised.
"So you woke up." The male's voice was dark, threatening.

Velarius had backed away and fearfully looked at the larger male.
"No need to be afraid. I'm Caligo." The male informed and dropped his arms, his hands going in his pockets as he kicked back with his foot to close the door, circling Velarius, who wouldn't let the man out of his sight. A soft smirk tugged on Caligo's lips as he eyed up the smaller male.
Caligo took a step closer to the other male who wanted to back away further, but he grabbed his arm and pulled him closer, holding the smaller male in place with a firm grip.
He reached into his pocket and took a black collar out, holding it in front of Velarius' face. He shook his head, understanding what the male in front of him wanted of him, and attempted to get away, but couldn't break free from the grip, which tightness had increased and already was quiet painful.

"You will obey, or you're going to regret it." Caligo set straight coldly and attached the collar to the male's neck forcefully, for he fought back fiercely. Then he let go of him, giving him a chance to calm down and adjust to the Feeling.
He recognized him tearing on the collar to get it off while he also backed away. "Don't try to hard. It only works by fingerprint." He stated and slowly followed Velarius, watching him attentive. He decided that he would introduce his new pet to the leash some time later to not to cause too much stress yet.
"Do you want to tell me your name?" Caligo asked rather nicely, but still cold. Though he already knew the male's name he thought it to be better to let Velarius tell him his name on his own.
However he only shook his head.
He had given up to try to get rid of the collar and seemed like he was searching for a way to escape, but Caligo didn't care to much.
He had made sure to make it impossible for the young man to flee. Locking windows and doors.
"Are you hungry?" Caligo inquired, one eyebrow cocked.
Again he didn't get an answer from Velarius, who hung his head.
He slightly shook his head as he turned to leave his pet's room. He had provided it just for him, since it most likely was better for him to have a place to retreat to.
"I-I have a headache."
Caligo stopped in his movement and turned to his pet as he heard his whispering. He had expected that something like this would happen.
"Come with me." He ordered softly. "I will give you something that will ease the pain."
He went ahead so Velarius could follow him to the kitchen which also contained a table and chairs of wood in a sandy colour.
Caligo made Velarius sit on one of the chairs, then went to set up hot water for a herbal tea.
"Stay here. I'll return soon." With those words Caligo went to the bathroom and picked up a package of aspirin, then returned to the kitchen where he poured a glass of water and gave it, along with the pills, to his pet.
"Aspirin." He explained at the worried look on his pet's features while he waited for the water to be ready.
It only took a few seconds, so he quickly was able to pour a tea and place it in front of the other male on the table.
"It's herbal tea. You should drink it." "Tha-" "And then you will go to bed. Rest." Caligo took the nearly empty glass and put it into the sink.
"It's better if you sleep in my bed instead of in the blankets on the floor of your room. My apologies, I wasn't able to buy you a bed yet."

_His room._ Velarius thought upset. _Did the male, Caligo, really think he would stay here and just obey?_

Caligo had waited until Velarius had emptied the cup before he brought him to his room to bring him to bed.
Against his expectations he followed him obediently. Maybe his headache was more painful than he thought and he simply wanted it to go away as quick as possible. Probably it had obfuscated his senses.

He covered his pet in a thin blanket, then in a thicker one. Caligo liked it cold while he slept, so his bedroom usually was cold. "How's your headache?" Caligo sounded genuinely caring, a strict look on his face as he waited for the male in front of him to answer.
Velarius realized the look and looked away, shrugged. "I think it's a little better."
Caligo watched him for a moment, then gave a small nod. "Good, then sleep now."

Velarius stared at the ceiling, thinking about what had happened. His gaze wandered to his arm where Caligo had grabbed him firmly. A bruise had appeared. A violet bruise, looking like a chaplet, standing in such a hard contrast to his pale skin, but still seeming so fittingly to the greyish-blue undertone of his skin.

He had fallen asleep quickly after Caligo had left. No matter how hard he tried.
He had tried, though he knew sleeping could ease the pain in his head. But he failed. He had gotten even dizzier from the pills and now he laid, curled up, in the bed of a man who kept him hostage and had attached a collar to his neck.

Most likely he would never get out here again. And the worst was that he couldn't remember anything. Not a single picture of his past, of any memory one could offer, was left.

And this time Velarius had a rather strange dream.
