The Girl who Cried Wolf

Chapter 7

Magnolia

     As we got back to his house I began thinking about earlier today. I went from class to class in a slight daze. Obviously Raven noticed a change in my behavior because she had tried everything to get me to tell her what had happened the other day, but I would not budge and I found it rather amusing. I walked into the house and was instantly lifted into the air. I screamed and began giggling as I was carried up the stairs.

           He layed me on the bed and began kissing my neck. “Dante, stop I have to do my homework.” Pouting he moved to let me up. I got up grabbing my backpack and say at the desk in front of the window. I woke up some time later lying in bed with nothing on but my underwear. Yawing I got up and walked to the bathroom, moments later someone knocked on the door. “Magnolia, you ok?” They sounded worried and a little groggy.

           “Yes, Dante I’m fine.” I washed my hands and walked out coming face to face with Dimitri. “So, you two are on a first name basis now?” I began backing away and screamed for Dante. “Mag wake up your having a nightmare, I’m right here you’re fine.” I was suddenly sitting back at the desk with Dante shaking me lightly. I looked around wrapping my arms around his waist. “It’s okay, you’re all right, everything’s all right.” Stroking my hair, he tried soothing me, but I couldn’t calm down. He picked me up sitting in the chair, rocking.

      Once I finally got her to calm down we walked downstairs and into the kitchen. We spent the rest of the evening snuggling on the couch watching Criminal Minds. We walked into school the next day and I did something slightly shocking, I grabbed her hand and gave it a squeeze. She looked at me a little surprised. I just smiled and kept walking.

      I left her at her locker and continued to my classroom. The day went by quickly, I couldn’t stay still the closer it got to the end of the day. Students began walking in and I caught a glance of the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. By the end of class I couldn’t take not being next to her, so when the bell rang I asked Magnolia to stay behind. As the last student walked out I looked over at her and she grinned.

     Standing she walked over to the desk, leaning on it. “What did you want to talk to me about?” Leaning forward I said, “I want to know what you wanted to do this afternoon?” “Whatever you want to do.” I looked at her and smiled, standing I walked around the desk and wrapped my arms around her waist.

     Sighing I pulled her back against me nuzzling into her neck. She relaxed leaning against my chest and almost lost her footing. I tightened his grip to steady her.  Turning her around I looked her in the eyes, “Do you want to go home or do you want to go somewhere else?” Laying her hands on my chest she stood on her toes kissing me, she told me that she wanted to show me something, I gave her a questioning look and she giggled.

     Grabbing my hand, we walked out of the building together. I gave her my keys and got into the passenger side. We pulled up to the entrance to of the old cemetery. “Uh Mag what are we doing here?” “Don’t look so scared I come here all the time and I’m not going to hurt you.” Parking she got out and started walking away. I got out and quickly followed her up the hill. I stopped suddenly looking out at the sunset.

    It was very dark by the time we left, but the time was well worth giving up. Not only did I get my homework done, I could relax and enjoy being with Dante. I pulled into the driveway, getting out we walked to the door, unlocked it, and immediately wished we hadn’t.

    “Is that who I think it is with….” “My brother? Yes.” Covering my eyes, I opened the door walking towards what I assume was the living room. “Raven what in the hell are you doing here?” Suddenly all I hear is movement and a lot of cussing. “Mag I didn’t know you would be here at this hour.” My hand was moved and I noticed that they were covered by my blanket.

      “Rave I’ve been staying here because of Dimitri constantly stalking my house and I see why you’re here. My question is how did you two meet? They just sat there looking at the two of us and back down at the floor. I just dropped my head and walked up the stairs asking Dante to wash my blanket after they got dressed. I walked into his room and flopped onto the bed.

     I looked over at the door as it opened to reveal a now dressed Raven. “Mag are you all right?” I sat up patting the mattress indicating for her to sit down. “Yes, Raven I’m fine just a little tired.” Looking over at her resting my chin on my knees. “Strange how we both fell for a set of brothers huh.” Laughing slightly, I said, “Yeah strange.”

   As we settled into an uncomfortable silence someone knocked on the door, opening it slightly. “Is it okay to enter?” “I don’t see why not, this is your room after all.” I looked over at Dante as he walked through the door gingerly. “You all right?”

I nodded getting up, walking over to him kissing his cheek. “Uh you sure you’re okay?” Giggling I walked back over to the bed and sat down. They both looked at me like I was being crazy. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Raven nodded and they both started feeling my forehead and face asking if I was feeling all right. “Yes, I’m fine will you two stop that.” They both looked at me hurt and I sighed. Getting up I walked into the bathroom and started the shower.
