Your POV

I was casually sitting in my room at my parent's house, on my laptop like I normally am. My parents are very strict and never let me do anything. Considering I'm 21 and they still boss me around like I'm 12, Pathetic. I was Markiplier play Move or Die, near the end of the video I was laughing my ass off which made your mom barge into your room and scream at you for being so loud. "Y/N! Shut up! you're being too loud, it's 11 pm". I shot her a glare and decided not to get into a fight with her so late at night. I powered off my laptop and drifted off into a deep sleep.

I awoke to fighting downstairs, you sneak downstairs to see your father packing up his stuff. You run downstairs crying and screaming "What the Fuck is going on?!?!" Your father looked up and saw that you were crying," Y/n your mother and I are getting a divorce. We can't even look at each other without starting an argument", your father briefly explained. I looked at my mom and she didn't even have a facial expression. I couldn't bare to see this happen anymore, so I bolted up to my bedroom and slammed the door. After I slammed your door I lied down on my bed and slightly sobbed. I had decided now was a good time to move out of my house and start an adventure of my own. I sat up on my bed and remembered that Los Angeles has lots of opportunities for jobs, I glanced over at my desk and noticed my laptop sitting there. I grabbed it deciding to look up some jobs to help start off. After about 3 hours of job hunting I find a job that pays well but also requires me to live with the employer, it sounded sketchy but I realised with my circumstances I needed to find a job sooner than later. I scrolled down the page to find his email and emailed him about the job.

Dear Mr. Brady,

Hello, my name is y/n and I am emailing you about the job opportunity that you posted online. I'm currently living in Colorado and plan on buying a plane ticket to Los Angeles tomorrow and hopefully arrive there by Saturday. I have attached a brief cover letter on why I would be perfect for the job.

Thanks, in advance,

Y/N L/N

I hit send and fall back onto your bed. I pulled out my phone out of my pocket and looked up cheap one-way plane tickets to Los Angeles, after 20 minutes you find the cheapest one that leaves tomorrow. I pulled my credit card out of my wallet and booked the ticket, right when the ticket goes through your laptop makes a ding signalling you have an email. Getting excited you open the email and realising that the employer got back to you.

Dear Miss L/N,

Thank you for emailing me, I have reviewed your cover letter and it was well written. I would like for you to come speak with me in person, I will be at Café Chateau Saturday afternoon around 4:00, I would love to meet with you there.

Reply when you can,

Mr. Brady

I squealed after reading the email. "I better start packing". You open your closet and grab all your necessary clothes for L.A, I realised that Los Angeles is rather warm so I grabbed all my summer clothing. A couple hours had passed and I finished packing all my bags, I set an alarm for 5 am, and put the phone onto charge and got into bed.

I awoke to the most annoying sound on the face of the earth my phone alarm. "Oh my god, any louder I'm going to throw it out the window" I whisper yelled. I went to go back to sleep, then realised that I have a plane to catch. I rushed out of bed and showered, got dressed, ate breakfast and brushed my teeth sent a quick email to Mr. Brady saying that I'd meet him at the Café around 4:00, I grabbed my backpack and packed my laptop. I grabbed all my luggage and headed out the door. I called an Uber and he drove to the airport. He seemed super sketchy but brushed it off and payed him once we arrived to the airport after I paid him he immediately sped off. I glanced around with a confused face and walked into the airport.

It was seconds before I boarded the plane, I grabbed my ticket and handed it to the flight attendant and walked onto the plane. In the background, I hear "Have a nice flight" I continue walking until I reach my seat, I realised that my seat was the window and an older woman had the aisle. "Excuse me, mam? Do you mind moving out of the seat so I can get to mine?" I asked softly, she complied and moved out of the way. "Thank you," I said sitting down "No problem" she replied. I took out my headphones out of my jeans pocket and plugged them into my phone listening to music for the longish trip, shortly after I had fallen asleep thinking about the new job.
