Hey sorry we didn't realize this, but we hadn't posted the full chapter of Carmen's POV so if you want to read that, go to chapter two.
Chapter Three: Grayson's P.O.V
As I walked back angrily from my run in with…what was her name?....Charles?...no….Carmel….no…Carmen! I got it, she was pretty low in the pack, I'd hoped I could raise her spirits one day and she told me to fuck off so from that day forward I never did like looking into her eyes.
I was more kicking the ground than walking on it, I didn’t know what was wrong with me. The fact that someone just died and I hadn't been awake to witness it, or the fact that today is the anniversairy of my father's death and I didn’t think about it until now. I stomped home and thought about my life, and right now it sucked. Why did it have to be me? I'm the one who lost their parents in the battle, I'm the only girl in my family. I have to go to school anyways tommorow so that just made my mood worse. I'm not going to get up tommorow. I went up and through the packs rooms looking for any evidence that something had changed. But so far nothing was out of the ordinary except that NO ONE WAS HERE!
"Where could they be?" I wondered aloud. I went downstairs and smelled smoke. I saw Xavier and all the guys smoking. It was sort of a ritual when a new alpha comes along. I wondered.
“Why are you guys smoking? Theres no way my uncle got beaten, that kid was gonna lose from the moment I saw him.”
This gorgeous man comes walking around the corner his eyes were just like the boy who I saw.
“Oh no,” I said horrified. My uncle just died. And what even shocked me even more is that no one looked like they cared, I stood there horrified. The gorgeous man walked around got right in my face and said,
“I’m sorry what, babe?” He smiled. I couldn’t believe it; this jerk actually beat my uncle!
My head felt like it was about to explode, I spun on my heel and ran out of there. I ran my fingers through my hair, pulling out the left over leaves to calm myself down. I kept walking until I got to a slower pace. My uncle was the only family I had left; now I was alone. And there was nothing I could do about it. I heard a “wait” from behind me and I had half a mind to keep running from my problems, it always seemed to work out in the movies. Maybe I could just pretend my life was a movie and that it could go on for two hours and then magically be resolved. But reality doesn’t work that way, I heard loud footsteps behind me. The stupid guy was behind me, now he had no shirt on!
“Hey, you do know you are supposed to be down there right?” He had the nerve to be smart with me like I was dumb.
I turned around and faced him, I’m sure make up was running down my face, and that my hair looked insane. His fluffy eyebrows rose as the reason I was crying was his fault, and it kind of was.
“Whoa.” He looked behind him. “Hey what’s wrong?”
“You,” I sobbed.
“What did I do?”
“You killed my uncle!” That’s when I lost it I ran off into the forest and shifted.
I woke up in my own bed, not really sure how I got there and not really caring when.
I got up made some breakfast and got ready for school.
My clothes were dull and boring, I made a mental note for later to go shopping. I put on the closest pair of jeans, and a long sleeve shirt. My hair was ugly and disgusting from not washing it in maybe three days?...I had too much drama to deal with. I don’t think I can make it….if I see that guy again…..I might kill him.
