ch. 1

hi! my name is ashley dallas. i am 15 years old and i live with my brother cameron in nashville tennessee (i know he doesn't live there but pretend). my parents died in a car accident 3 years ago. and it's a day i will never forget. i'm very close to cam. he's over protective and it gets annoying but i love him. "ashley!!" cameron yells from the bottom of the steps. "what?!?" i yell back "it's time to go!!" "ok" cameron and i are going to see my boyfriend, jack. i ran out of my room in my cropped Adidas sweatshirt, skinny jeans, my adidas shoes, and a hat. "coming!" i yell while running down the stairs. i grabbed my wallet, phone, and charger and ran out the door with cam right behind me. cam used to hate jack but he has learned to trust him. plus, jack has a brother that is cams age,18. (i know, i know. just pretend he's 18) we jammed to my spotify playlist during the 25 minute drive. when we finally got to jacks house i ran up his front steps to his door. i knocked three time when jack opened the door almost immediately. he pulled me into a passionate kiss. "i know i trust y'all but that's enough" cam said. i laughed. i haven't seen jack in 3 weeks because he's been on a trip to mexico with his family. "i missed you so much babe" i exclaimed. "i missed you too, baby girl" butterflies immediately erupt in my stomach when he called me that. we ran up to his room and he already had my favorite pixar movie waiting for us, nemo. "you know me so well babe" i said to him. "i know" he said. we laid down and watched the movie and by the time it was over i had to leave. "bye babe" i said to jack. "bye beautiful" he said. on the car ride home we were once again jamming to my spotify playlist when cam turned it down. "the hell?" i said. "look. we need to talk." he said as we pulled into the driveway "come inside." the last time he said this it was when we were putting out dog jake down a few months ago so i was kinda nervous. "what's up?" i asked. "we're moving." he said. "what? to where?" "los angeles" "WHAT THE HELL?!? THATS 2000 MILES AWAY. WHAT ABOUT JACK???" i yelled. "ash calm down. long distance relationships aren't that bad." he said while hugging me. "i'm not having a long distance relationship. you know what? i need a bit. i'm going to bed. goodnight cam. love you" "goodnight ash. love you too"
