In the town of Goodsprings, Colorado a 13 yr. old boy named Max Reynolds. He was your average middle school student. He had a small circle of friends mostly guys, a few girls. Most of the friends were otakus (otaku-a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga or video games).anyways long definition aside they all were good friends until they got to 8th grade.Max's friends went on separate paths.
his friend joseph became a jock and moved off to play in almost every single sport the school had to offer, except tennis because he thought it was to girly. Max's friend Dan went on to be kind of a player-ish person. Dan had improved his life ever since he stopped being friends with Max. He had dated around seven girls, all of those relationships ended up with a slap in the face. Max’s ex turned friend Daniel went on to go down two different paths. She went down the sporty path and ended up dating joseph for a while. She later went on to be a diva which was one of the many types of girls Dan liked, so you can probably guess where that headed.
The rest of Max's friends aren’t really important to this story so they don’t get any recognition. However he did have one friend left that was still nice, her name Sammi.She was actually every guys at the schools fantasy (even Max's friends).of course since she was every guy's dream she had to have some amazing features. She was a straight A+ student (yes its A+ doesn’t judge me), she had the body of a goddess, flowing jet black hair that looked as if it was made out of the smoothest, shiniest silk available. She also wore black half-frame glasses, and she was one of the nicest girls at the school and always greeted everyone with a "hello" or a hug.
Anyway we need to progress with the story now don’t we. OH yes! I forgot to introduce myself. I am Jayden, and I will be your narrator for this story. Now what was I saying...oh yes! Now I remember. Sammi was Max's only friend in 8th grade. They both loved video games so much that every Monday they would go to the town's local arcade and play all the RPGS (Role Playing Games) they could get their hands on. On the night of Monday the 13th they had decided to go over to Max's house to play the new game, Forsaken Eden. After about two hours of Java Monster fueled gaming, the two had gotten really tired.
Suddenly words flashed across the TV screen. The words “come fight me if you dare!” flashed in a radiant blood red color. Suddenly bolts of electricity started shooting out of the TV, and the screen had become a purple and black vortex. The vortex started to pull Max and Sammi into it.Max grabbed onto his window frame, and Sammi grabbed onto Max’s shoe. However no matter how much they struggled the vortex was still swirling at break neck speeds. Eventually Max’s hands became sweaty and he let go of the window frame.Max and Sammi were about to go on the greatest adventure of a lifetime.
After what seemed like a few seconds of pitch black darkness Max opened his eyes, he noticed Sammi was on top of him trying to breath(I forgot to mention in the beginning max and Sammi are both otakus, Max is a little bit taller than Sammi).they both stood up and looked around at the bright landscape. Birds the size of small dogs soared above them in the blue sky. After a few seconds of calm. The ground shaked and rumbled. A giant chromium automaton with a gigantic wind up key in its back and a rusted-over arm lumbered above them. Foot soldiers ranging from crossbows and scimitars to laser swords and gamma cannons raced pass them to follow the giant automaton.
While looking around dumbfounded one of the foot soldiers bumped into max’s shoulders. The foot soldier said “what’s wrong with you buddy? Sabre-toothed tiger got your tongue?” Before max had any time to respond or ask a question the foot soldier had ran away.Max and Sammi both stood around looking befuddled when a guy in giant shiny malachite armor waddled up and said “do you guys need help?”. Right as max opened his mouth to say something, Sammi covered Max’s mouth with her hand and said “Excuse me sir we’re lost, do you know the way to Goodsprings, Colorado?” The guy in shiny malachite armor said “I’ve never heard of that province.”
Once again Max and Sammi were befuddled then they asked “where are we?” The man said “you really don’t know? Well you’re in the land of grimlong of course”. “Well that’s just fan-freaking tastic.” said Max. The short dwarfy guy said “oh I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Franklin Murdock”. “Nice to meet you Mister Murdock.” Said Max and Sammi. “Well as you can see we have a war going on, with all the soldiers following the automaton and all that jazz” said Murdock. “Is there any way we can help?” said the two children. “Sure I guess can you handle a weapon?” said Murdock. Before the kids could respond a giant laser beam had hit the ground making a mile wide crater. “Run to the citadel!” belted Murdock. After a few minutes of running and possible hyperventilation, they had reached the citadel.
“So, who’s ready to suit up and fight a war?” said Murdock as he wiped the sweat off his hands. Calculating everything that’s happened to them so far the kids had finally realized that they were in the video game they were playing earlier. Murdock snapped his fingers in front of the children’s faces because they had gone into a blank stare.
