#31: Cuddles

"Hello?" A familiar voice asked.

Lily smiled as she replied, "Grayson! I have some news!"

She paused for a second. "I got a letter from the hospital this morning. They told me that the treatment for my cancer has been paid! I don't know how! But it has! I've got to arrange an appointment to start the treatment. I was hoping you could come with me?" She said, unsure.

She waited for a response. She heard him breathe down the phone. "I'd love to go with you! This is so much to take in! After all this time, you'll be getting your treatment! When are you booking the appointment?" He asked.

"I don't know yet" she admitted. "I was hoping it would be in two days. It would give us all some time to prepare for everything. I want to make sure that I aren't interfering with anything you've got planned. I don't want to-"

"No! It's fine! I've got nothing better to do! I'm sure Ethan will think of a way to entertain himself while I'm with you. I will always be here for you, I promise. Whether it's in a dream, in reality, in this world, or the next! I will never leave you. I love you".

"I love you more".

"Impossible! Because I love you to the moon and back! My love for you cannot be put into words. The amount of stars that are in the universe is how much I love you. And it will never burn out" he said.

Her heart melted at his words. She smiled, although he couldn't see her. "I'll talk to you later, Dolan. Bye, I love you".

"I love you more, bye. Wait!" Lily waited for him. "Shouldn't you call your friend and tell her the news?" He asked.

"She's on holiday for a while" Lily replied, sadly. Finally, the call ended. Lily threw her phone on her bed and walked downstairs to speak to her parents about the appointment. They all sat down at the table and spoke about possible dates. Lily spoke about having it in two days time, and her parents kept that option in mind.

They spoke for about a hour before agreeing to arranging an appointment in two days. Her mom phoned the hospital and booked the appointment. After booking the appointment, Lily went upstairs to shower. She was going to spend the day with Ethan and Grayson.

She left her house at 10am and walked to the apartment. She knocked on the door and Ethan answered. "Lily! It's so good to see you!" He exclaimed as he pulled her into a hug. "Gray told me about the treatment. Congratulations!"

She chuckled at his actions. "Thank you!" They broke the hug and Ethan welcomed her inside. She looked in the kitchen and living room, but Grayson wasn't there. She was confused until Ethan broke the silence.

"He's in his room". Lily walked down to Grayson's room. She knocked on the door, but got no response. She carefully opened his door and looked inside his room. She saw him sleeping in his bed. He was wrapped in his blankets while cuddling a teddy bear. Smiling, she walked towards him. She placed her oxygen tank next to him and decided to jump on him.

He stirred in his sleep and moved, causing her to sit on his stomach. She giggled as she placed her hands on his chest. She moved her hands along his chest and began to tickle him. He tried to stop her and opened his eyes. She stopped and smiled down at him.

"Morning" he said in a raspy voice.

She giggled at him before kissing his cheek. "Good Morning!" She looked down at him as he placed his arms behind his head. "How long have you been asleep?" She asked. "I texted you earlier and you were awake! Did you fall back asleep?"

He chuckled; she felt him vibrate underneath her. "I was staying up all night editing this week's video. I was about to go to sleep when you texted me. I thought I'd try to sleep before I have to wake up. I guess I didn't have long".
