Floating

We had only then just gotten on the plane before it was about to take off. I decided to give Aph the window seat because this was the first time she was ever going on an airplane. When the plane started to take off, I looked down at my hand to see that she had it in a death grip. Her face was pale, and she wouldn't let go of my hand until we had lifted off of the ground.  Once we had flown above the clouds, her fear turned into amazement. The way the sun bounced off of the white fluffy clouds as it had begun to set gave her peace.

"Come on Aph!" I say tugging slightly on her shirt, "It's time to go."

"Huh-," She asked looking around, "Are we there yet?"

"Yep now come on, before we miss breakfast at this amazing cafe I know,"

"But the sunrise," Aph said looking out the window,"We'll miss it!"

"There will be other sunrises in better places,"

"But this is my first one in Paris!" She said stubbornly.

"Come on," I said pulling on her sleeve again.

"Hmmm," She replied crossing her arms.

"Don't make me pick you up!"
She shook her head."Then you leave me no choice," I said walking over to where she was sitting and throwing her over my shoulder. I got weird looks walking throughout the airport, but it was worth it if we made it on time to Le Calife. We finally made it outside and there was a car waiting for us that I had arranged. The driver opened the door, and I put Aph in on one side and then walked around to the other side. The car was silent for a long time as Aph glared at me.

"You can't be mad at me forever, Aph" I said.

"Watch me," She replies.

"Really, even if I," I started mischievously, "use the voice?"

Her face looked worried as I started talking in my silliest voice. Her lips loosened and a smile formed in it's place. Then she started giggling and then full on laughing.
"Cheater!" she barely got out over the giggles.
"Not cheating, I just know how to use my talents,"
"Well it's not fair that you have such a good talent!"
"I know..." I said as I went to kiss her. I felt her thick, silky hair filter through my fingers. Her lips resting on mine. I felt her arms wrap around my neck, and her eyelashes flutter close.
The driver cleared his throat. "We're here," he said pointing to the beautiful building that was to our right.
"Thank you," I replied tipping him extra. He nodded and drove off after we got out. This was the fanciest hotel in the whole area. I had to pull Aph. along just so that she wouldn't be in the revolving door for hours. The lobby was made of mostly glass which allowed the rising sun's light to be bounced around. I got our key and went to the room. "So, what do you think?"
