Junior Year

"And I care about this why, exactly?"

Eleanor rolls her eyes, following Lola's gaze with a scowl. "Because you're still hung up on him." Eleanor scoffs, turning to Harry for help. Harry rolls his eyes, turning his head to the right to face Lola correctly.

"Lo, what El is trying to say is that he is a total asshole for what he may have or may not have done to you, but you should not dwell on the past. So with Chad's party next weekend, you'll be able to meet tons of other suitable male companions. Plus there will be free booze." Harry smiled, his hand moving to rest on her shoulder.

"And you deserve a lot better than Ron." Lola sighs, raising her hands in defeat. "alright, alright - i'll go! But you forget we still have a week till that damn party right?" Lola rolls her eyes, continuing to scribble down the notes the teacher places on the board.

"Yes, but you wouldn't have agreed on short notice." Eleanor shrugs, a smug look plastered on her face. Lola laughs, shaking her head. "Cunt."

"Bitch."

"Whor-"

"Shh you two, annoying itches is what you are. An a painful itch in my ass." Harry scolds, trying to hide the smile from his squabbling best friends.

"Oh shut it - you love us."

"I can't feel my brain." Perrie grunted, plopping herself onto a bench.

"Oh that can't be good - think the chemicals from all that hair dye are finally getting to yeah, Pear?" Eleanor asks, cooing slightly as she pets Perrie's head.

"No you fucker - Mrs. Wason just expects us to work too much and it all gives me a big headache." Perrie swats at Eleanor's hand, a small, playful scowl plastered on her face.

"Well then," Eleanor rolls her eyes, turning to Lola with a  bright smile. "On a brighter side, we are getting a new cutie." She turns to Perrie, smirk on her face before turning back to Lola, wiggling her eyebrows.

"And you now this how? "

"Josh from the office told me." Eleanor shrugs, turning to Perrie with an innocent glare when she snorts. She pouts, eyebrows furrowed. "What?"

"When are you two gonna fuck?" Lola nods, arms crossed over her chest. Eleanor's eyes widen as she shakes her head frantically.

"No! We are just friends!" Eleanor shrieks, scoffing as Lola and Perrie burst into a fit if laughter. "Fuck you guys."

"But wouldn't you prefer to fuck Josh?" Perrie laughs again, giving Lola a quick high five.

Once the two had calmed down, dopey smiles spread on their cheeks, Eleanor began once again. "But anyway - new guy? Heard he got kicked out of his old school - or something, is hot and straight." Eleanor wiggles her eyebrows, both her and Perrie's attention trained on Lola.

"Why are you guys looking at me like that." Lola questions, eyebrows furrowed.

"Because, Lola, you need to get laid." Lola huffed, rolling her eyes. "I don't need to get laid nor do i want to. accept the fact that your best friend is a prude already."

"But you're not!" Eleanor squealed in a retort, her hands thrown into the air incredulously.

Sophomore Year

"You know what I just realized?" Harry spoke up, everyone's bored attention brought to him.

"We barely know anything about Lola." Harry states, his eyebrows furrowed as he turns to her. "We've never really asked you anything. Like - do you have any brothers or sisters?" Everyone's head turns to Lola, curiosity peeking.

"Um - yeah actually, I got a brother - somewhere. I don't really know him though, since the last time I saw him was when I was around four." Lola shrugs, taking a long sip from her water bottle.

"What about your parents? You've never talked about them." Eleanor asks next, her legs crossed as she sits peacefully next to Harry.

"They're divorced. I live with my mama, and my dad works... I don't even know where to be honest. He's kind of, really a dick? Only see and hear from him every now and then." Lola shrugs, her eyes focused on the ceiling above.

"What about your old school?"

Lola chuckles, shaking her head. "Horrible place with horrible people. I won't go into detail." Lola chuckled, trying not to let the past get to her in front of her new friends.

"What about the boys? Where they cute? Friendly? Sexy?" Eleanor wiggled her eyebrows, wincing when Perrie whacked her on the side of her head.

"What El means is, did you have any special guys in your life?" Perrie tried to elaborate, although she was pretty sure Eleanor meant exactly what she said.

"Well, i don't know really.. I mean If you're asking if i was close with any guys yeah. My best friend for a while was a guy, but that all went downhill when he dated my other best friend." Lola shrugged again, clicking her tongue as she left out most of the details. "And then there was my boyfriend in my freshman year - now that is a long story for another time." She chuckled, biting the inside of her cheek.

"Tell us about this guy friend of yours? Was he hot?" Harry asked, a shy smirk spread across his cheeks. Lola blushed slightly, enough to go noticed by the girls and Harry as they all coo and press for the details on the boy.

"Okay okay," Lola laughed, the tint from her cheeks still unfazed. "His name was Liam, Liam Payne. I met him back in second grade, and this one incident brought us really close - he was my best friend all through elementary." Lola paused, her tongue swiping out across her bottom lip as she thought of what to say.

"When middle school came around, well that's when everyone forgets that guys have cooties and start maturing, yeah? Well, as cliché as it is - i had the biggest crush on him till about, eighth grade? That's when he told me he was dating my best friend at the time - Scarlet. And then after that he kinda just - became a massive dick, you know? He stopped talking to me at school, stopped responding to my messages and eventually cut me off all together. I never got to know why either, but i honestly don't know if i want to know why." Lola shrugged for what seemed like the hundredth time that night, her bottom lip tugged in between her teeth as she bit aggressively, her eyes scanning the expressions of her friends.

"Well," Harry speaks up first, clearing his throat slightly. "This Liam dude? Sounds like a straight up prick. If i ever cross paths with him i'd probably give him a taste of my nasty left hook." Harry cheekily smiles, his dimples popping out.

"Yeah - you don't need people like that, now that you got us." Eleanor reassured, moving to sit on Lola's lap. Lola was caught off guard slightly, laughing loudly when Perrie and Harry join them in a somewhat dog pile.

"We'll always be here for you, yeah?" Lola giggled, being smothered by three people she already knew would be by her side for as long as she could imagine.
