It was another night where Sharna was feeling lonely and depressed after the tour. She used to have Val, but now he was dating Amber. Once again, she made the decision to go out. She promised herself she wouldn't do what she had done too many times before, but she knew she would break the promise. After way too many drinks, and too many spins around the dance floor, she ended up in the arms of a stranger again. She let him take her to his house and they sat and had wine and watched TV. Something inside her stopped them before they went any further, but she was still stuck. It was 2 AM and she was too afraid to get an uber. She didn't know what to do besides calling Val.
*On the phone*
Sharna: Hello? Val?
Val: (sounding groggy and tired) Hey what's up?
Sharna: Hey uh sorry to bother you. But I need a ride. Can you come get me?
Val: Where are you?
Sharna: I'm on the corner of 52nd and Grey Street.
Val: Shar how did you end up there?
Sharna: I went out again. I'm sorry.
Val: You know I don't like it when you go out alone. What if something would've happened to you? It's just not safe.
Sharna: I know and I'm sorry. Can you come get me?
Val: Okay I'm leaving the hotel now.

She felt bad to ask him, but she couldn't trust anyone else. Hell, he was the one who made her want to go out in the first place. She saw a car coming towards her, and it was him in the drivers seat. She opened the door and hopped in.
Val: You okay?
Sharna: Yeah I'm good. Thank you so much!
Val: You can't keep doing this.
Sharna: I'm not doing it on purpose. I just have one too many drinks and I end up here.
Val: That's what's dangerous. You're not in control of yourself. Nothing happened tonight but what if it did. You couldn't stop someone from doing something to you.
Sharna: Val I know I shouldn't. But I have to. It keeps my mind off of things.
Val: What things?
Sharna: You just wouldn't understand.
Val: How would I not understand?
Sharna: I just- I can't
Sharna broke down and began to cry. He held her hand and talked her through it.
Sharna: it's just been a really bad month okay? James and I came in 2nd, I'm on tour without Peta, and I feel like I'm losing you too.
Val: You're not losing me. Why do you think that?
Sharna: We don't hang out like we used to. You seen distant.
Val: I'm dating Amber, and she doesn't really want me hanging out that closely with other girls. I'm not gonna do that to her.
Sharna: Do what to her?
Val: Make her jealous.
Sharna: Well it sure isn't a problem for you to do that to other people. I just can't expect you to understand.
Val: If this is about how I'm dating Amber, it's because I-
Sharna: You know I've heard this before. I just need to go.
She got out of the car and walked into the hotel with tears streaming down her face. Why did he have so much control over her? And why couldn't she do the same to him?

I wish I could hurt you back
Love, what would you do if you couldn't get me back
You're the one who's gonna lose
Something so special, something so real
Tell me boy, how in the fuck would you feel?
If you couldn't get me back
That's what I wish that I could do to you, you
To you, you

When she got to her room, she took off her makeup and finally stopped crying. She needed someone to talk to, so she called Lindsay.
*On the Phone*
Lindsay: Hey what's up?
Sharna: Did I wake you?
Lindsay: No. I was going downstairs to get coffee actually. Want to meet me?
Sharna: Yeah. I'll be down in one minute.
Lindsay: Okay bye!

Sharna threw on a hoodie and leggings and grabbed her phone and Birkenstocks. She grabbed her room key, and left. When she was walking down the hall she overheard a conversation.

Val: Hey Ambs. Sorry I forgot to call you earlier.
Amber: No that's ok. How was the show?
Val: The show was great. I miss you.
Amber: I miss you too. Maybe I can try to come out soon?
Val: I would love that. Look I have to go but I'll call you tomorrow.
Amber: Okay, talk to you soon honey.
Val: Bye babe.
Sharna tried to ignore what she had heard, and shook it off. She just had to focus on something else.

Figures
I'm the bad guy cause I can't learn to trust
Love figures
You say sorry once and you think it's enough
I got a lineup of girls and a lineup of guys
Begging for me just to give 'em a try
Figures
I'm willing to stay
Cause I'm sick for your love

When she got downstairs, she saw Lindsay drinking her coffee, and there was another on the table.
Sharna: Thanks Linds.
Lindsay: No problem
Sharna: I really just need someone to talk to
Lindsay: Of course. What's wrong?
Sharna: It's about Val. I just haven't been the same lately.
Lindsay: Emma and I noticed a few weeks ago that you started becoming distant.
Sharna: It's because I can't be around him when they're together. I want it to be me. And it hurts.
Lindsay: I know it hurts babe. We all don't want them to be together but he's happy. Don't you want him to be happy?
Sharna: Of course I want him to be happy, but not like that. I, I, I want-
Lindsay: Shar, what do you want?
Sharna: I want him to be happy with me. But he's not. Because I'm not enough.

After three more shows, Sharna was sitting in her hotel room. Even though she told herself no a thousand times, she couldn't stop herself. She put on the skirt that she knew was a little too short, slipped on the heels that  would get worn from dancing, and grabbed the wallet full of cash that would be spent on too many drinks. She hailed a cab and rode to the first bar of the night. When she got there, she had three drinks to loosen up, and then began dancing. Once again, she got close to a stranger and she let him take her home. She was totally wasted, which allowed him to control her. They made their way to the bed and he was undressing her. The man heard a knock at the door and went to go answer it. Sharna walked out and followed him, only wearing her skirt and a bra.
Man: Hello? Who is it?
Val: Sharna what are you doing here?
Sharna: What do you mean?
Val: Come on, let's go. I'm sorry man, we have to leave.
Sharna: No, I don't want to go with you!
She smacked his hand away.
Val: I'm sorry but you're coming. We were worried SICK about you. Thank goodness Lindsay tracked you on her phone or you could've been lost.
Sharna: I'm not going. And I won't be back for the rest of tour. I'm done!
Val: Please don't do this.
Sharna: It's over. I think it's time for you to leave.
Val walked out and slammed the door, leaving Sharna alone with the man. She ran out after him with tears streaming down her face.
Sharna: Val, wait.
Val: I can't keep blaming myself for this Sharna. You have to get control of yourself.
With that, he got in his car and drove off.
