My eyes sparkled with happiness. "That was beautiful!" Everyone stood up and clapped at his performance. "You pass as well!" Mrs. Yukino announces. Natsu puts down the guitar and bows. I smile and make my way out of the auditorium. I hear someone push a button on the vending machine and turn around. Natsu was a getting himself a water bottle. He opens it and drinks some then noticed me. I jump a little and turn back around.
"Oi, not so Flat Filia," he says. I turn around and he throws a water bottle towards me. I catch it and look at him. "Look, you don't have to be nice to me. Just because you found out about my secret doesn't mean you should start being friends with me. Besides, it shows that you're only being nice to me because of Celeste Heart." He sighs, "Actually, I never tried to be mean to you." I stop myself from opening my water bottle. "What?" He sighs again and walks towards me.
"When we met in elementary school, I kinda had a crush on you." I blush madly, "Eh?" "Let me finish, I guess Lisanna noticed this and blamed you every time she gets hurt somehow. I started to hate you but deep down I still liked you." I was a flustered mess. "When Lisanna asked me out I thought I got over my crush on you so I said yes. When we got into high school I saw you and.....liked you all over again." I was blushing so hard I could start sweating any time soon. He looks down at me.
"One day Lisanna came back beat up and told all of us that you did it, but after what you said yesterday she admitted that she did to herself for attention." I tightened my grip on the water bottle. "The whole reason I was humiliated and bullied was because that bratty little bitch wanted attention!" I say calmly. Natsu nods, "After I broke up with her, a weight lifted off my shoulders and then I realized....I never got over my elementary school crush," he finishes. I squeezed my water bottle so hard that the cap came off and we both got soaked by water. I stayed blushing.
Natsu laughs, "Too much?" I nod still red. Natsu holds onto my hand, "You don't have to be so embarrassed." I adjust my glasses, "U-Um, I-I don't intend to make friends." Natsu pouts, "C'mon, my friends are nice!" I look up at him, "Y-You're not asking me out are you?" He smiles, "Would it be bad if I did?" He slowly starts to pin me to the wall. I start feeling red. "Uh-well- I-I mean, yes and no? Uhh-" Natsu smirks and starts laughing. I look at him confused then I hear more people laughing.
Suddenly Lisanna, and two new friends came out from hiding holding a camera. "Aww, was Lucy Flat Filia embarrassed?" My eyes widen, "T-This is a joke..." Lisanna laughs, "Natsu would never be into you!" She looks at Natsu, "Yeah, sure...." I grabbed my water bottle and spilled it into Lisanna's head. She gasps and slaps me again. Natsu grabs Lisanna's arm, "You said no violence." Lisanna 'tsks' and lowers her hand. I pick up my bag and walk away. The girls laugh while Natsu sighs.
After school I tried to leave early but I guess Natsu has the same plan. Natsu was walking behind me like usual. I stop and look through my bag, without turning around looking at him I handed his mom's shirt back. I keep walking, "Thanks," he says. I ignore him. "Lucy?" I slowly turn around and face him. His eyes widen when he realizes me crying and giving him a mad look. "Oh.. " I wiped away my tears, "You're welcome." I walk forward while Natsu had to turn right. "I hate you, Natsu Dragneel!"
