"Elizabeth Jones get your ass down here and clean this mess!" My mother yelled. She was drunk again and I didn't want to see her. Yet I obeyed and went down to the kitchen where she was. Glass spread from the counter to the doorway. "Momma stay where you are. I don't want you getting hurt." I said softly and started cleaning. "Little bitch you don't tell me what to do." She neglected and walked to me with a bottle in her hand. "Momma please don't." I begged. "Get up!" She pulled my hair to me to stand up. She dragged me to the living room and threw me on the ground. "Get up!" She yelled. I did as told and stood up terrified. "You stupid whore, you are no good to anyone! You can't even clean a damn house!" She kicked me down to where I was spitting up blood into my hands. "Get up. Get up and go clean that damn kitchen before I kick your ass again."

I got up and cleaned the glass without any gloves so my hands got cut up. I was in too much pain to care. I finished cleaning and went upstairs. I cleaned up my hands and got new clothes on then I called my best friend.

Me: I need help. I can't take it anymore Alex. I need a place to stay for a while.

Alex: Hey I will pick you up, get all your stuff and I will climb up to your room.

Me: Thank you so much. Please hurry.

I tossed my phone onto my bed and got out my old suitcase. I packed everything I could and I went into my bathroom with my suitcase just incase. I grabbed all I could fit and then I hear some noise in my room. Alex. I pulled my suitcase slowly behind me as I walked back into my room. As soon as I saw her blonde hair and green eyes, I sprinted over to her and hugged her tightly. "Let's go hun." she grabbed my suitcase and let me climb out first. Once I hit the ground, she tossed my case down. We got into her car and left my old shitty house full of pain.
