TOMIKA'S POV

Lawrence came rushing into the courtyard for lunch. He was running faster than I'd ever seen him run before. He ran towards our table, and I thought he was going to run into it. But then he just came to an abrupt stop and plopped down in the seat across from Zack and I. He began to catch his breath.

"Um... are you ok Lawrence?" Zack asked?

"Are... Summer... and... Freddy... around?" he asked between huffs of breath.

"No..." Zack said, concerned.

"Why, is something wrong?" I asked.

"Yes, something is wrong." Lawrence stated.

"Oh god, what?" I asked, getting worried.

"Freddy and Summer are secretly dating and aren't telling us."

"What?!" Zack choked.

"No..." I uttered.

"Why didn't they tell us?" Billy spoke up.

"How long have you known?" I questioned Lawrence.

"Early this morning." Lawrence paused. He grabbed Zack's milk and took a big swig, "I got here early for tutoring and I overheard them. Summer was here early for tutoring as well, and Freddy met her here." Lawrence finished.

"Dude, my milk." Zack whined.

I grabbed my notebook and hit Zack in the back of the head with it, "There are more important things to worry about right now than you milk." I scolded.

"Oh yeah, like what."

"Like worrying about why they didn't tell us."

"They didn't want to make a big deal. This didn't want us to obsess and force them apart or tell anyone else. Especially Mr. Finn. They also didn't want you guys to worry about how it would affect the band." Lawrence said, a look of disappointment on his face.

"I guess that makes sense... but why are they so worried about the band. They're our friends, they should know that they're more important." Billy shrugged.

"Hey Lawrence," Lawrence looked over at me, "Why do you look so disappointed."

"Even though they didn't know that I knew-"

"Woah, 'Friends' much?" Zack interrupted and I promptly hit him in the back of the head with my notebook, again.

Lawrence glared at him before continuing, "Anyways, because even though they didn't know that I knew, I still feel like I betrayed them. But I just needed to tell someone."

"It must've been hard for keeping it for less than half a day." Billy remarked under his breath snidely. I nudged him and he gave me a look.

"Well your- well their secret is safe with me." I said, putting my hand in.

"Me too." Zack added, putting his hand on top of mine, which sent a shiver down my spine.

"Me three." Billy said, putting his hand in.

Lawrence put his hand in before saying, "And I plan to continue to keep their secret."

"Good."

"Good."

"Good."

"Good. Now someone go and find them."
