Sesshomaru was walking with rin on a particularly nice day. Despite the fact that they never talk when they walk, Rin was in a very good mood, so was Sesshomaru, even though he didn't show it, and even the forest was in a good mood. Birds were singing, a stream gurgled and sparkled nearby while Rin watched butterflys fly though the air. "It's so beautiful!", said Rin with a happy smile,"I suppose it is" replied Sesshomaru calmly, glanceing at Rin. As he said those words Jaken didn't catch a glimps of his lord's mouth turn up into a content smile, but Rin did see it, and it left her smileing at the sky for the rest of the day.
That night they came across Inuyasha and his group in a clearing in the forest. The moon was full and emitted a light that seem to make everything glow with a ghost light. Clouds covered the entire sky in an erie mist that refracted the star light all around, the only thing that wasn't covered by a cloud was the moon. It's glow seemed to be a spot light on the batle field. Kagome and the group steped back as Inuyasha drew his blade. Rin and Jaken steped back and watched from the tree's at the edge of the clearing, everyone was uneasy. Everyone, even Rin could feel in the air that much blood would be shed on this night, and that someone wouldn't be leaving this battle field alive.
If only she knew how right she was.
As the battle progressed both of the brothers were bloody and panting. "You've gotten better half breed, but now it's time for me to claim my sword", said Sesshomaru his eyes narrowed and his mouth in a creul smile he swung his sword sending a huge ark of blue lightning twords Inuyasha. "Heh," said Inuyasha still bleeding, "I HAVE A NEW TRICK YOU KNOW!!!", he yelled as he swung his sword in a huge ark. The blue lightning stuck to it and seemed to grow larger as it mixed with the yellow energy now flowing out of the tessaiga. When the huge ark was compleated the tessaiga was rippleing with energy. Inuyasha swung it all back to Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru's eyes widened with fear as he held up his sword in a futle attempt to block. He looked away, he knew it was hopeless, Sesshomaru knew he was going to die. He heard a blood curdleing scream and looked at it's sourse... as a cloud covered the moon.
Rin stood in front of him taking the blow.
"Good bye, father", Rin said tears in her eye's. She fell into the wide-eyed Sesshomaru's arms as the attack ended.
She was dead.
Inuyasha stared amazed and in shock while Kagome looked on covering her mouth with tears in her eyes. Sesshomaru held the ribbons her body in his arms, Rin was so tatered that she didn't even bleed. As Sesshomaru gentely layed her on the ground tears dusted his face and an angry monster inside him roared. His self control was lost as he and his sword reverberated with power. His eyes turned red and his claws and teeth lenghthed as he charged at Inuyasha. Still in shock, Inuyasha fell to the ground spurting with blood as the blur of Seshomaru sped past him. Tears still in there eyes Miroku set off a smoke bomb as Kirara wisked the group away. Sessomaru turned away and headed back to Rin.
He consentrated very hard on her with his tenseiga. It was hard for him to preform the ritual of bringing her back to life because her corpse was so disembodyed. His eye's narowed with frustration. Shesshomaru then saw them, the gremlins hovering over Rin's body, he pointed his sword at them silently commanding them to heal her body, if she was put back into the body in it's present condition she would die again within the moment she was revived. Sesshomaru didn't know if this would even work, but he willed them to do his bidding and they slowly with growing speed wove rin's body back together. When it was back together again he sliced the gremlens in two. Sesshomaru held Rin in his arms looking at her like a father to his daughter as she woke up. "My lord?", Rin asked wakeing up and feeling her chest to see if it was still in ribons. "Please, call me as you did before", he replied, looking down on her with sparkling eyes. Rin smiled and pressed her head into Sesshomaru's arm,"Aliright, father."
