The last thing on your mind is that your male English teacher is obsessed with Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland. Nothing about it makes him less of a man. It's just peculiar that Mr. Sutton is obsessed with Beyoncé out of all artists. I'm even a big fan and don't obsess much over her as she does.

The class went quite by nicely at first. "You all talk to much. I think I'll move you where you'd exceed more," Mr. Sutton said. What?! I only know Avery! I only know one single person in this class and she may be the smartest of all, Avery! I can't move! "Miss Johnson!" Crap. I don't like being moved. "Sit in front of Sam." Sam seemed like a sweet innocent girl who got all A's and was quiet but still listened to Metallica. I don't mind sitting there.

"Hey, I'm Sam," she said the minute I sat in my seat

"Hey, I'm Sam," she said the minute I sat in my seat. Considering she said yes, I assume she's not quiet at all but I'm sure still nice and innocent. "Hi, I'm Jamie. You went to Ferry Middle?" "Yea. Gilbert Middle?" "Yes, I assumed me and my friend Avery way over by the door were the only Gilberts in this class" "Pretty much seems that way besides the couple of people I don't know. Probably new. Hey aren't you and Avery those girls who were the only freshman to make the cheer team?" "Yeah, weird though. First year cheering and I make the team." "I''ll come to the games and watch you." I think this a beautiful start to the new year.

When the class ends, I walk by the hall and am pulled over without warning. Avery had a grip today. "So what's your next class?" she asks me in her sweet country accent. I wish I had everyone's sweet North Carolina accent here. I only moved here in the middle of 7th grade. "I have gym with..... Ms. Daria," I replied. "I have gym too but my teacher is Mr. Foy." "Great, we can walk together." "Sorry J, I don't have the freshman gym. Mr. Foy's gym class has the upperclassmen gym." "NOICE! So you're leaving me?" "Yes girl, upperclassmen, I can stare all day. Gotta run. Love ya!" Great, walking by myself on the first day. At least she had the heart to take a selfie with me; even though the rest of our cheer sisters ran up and joined. Eh, I didn't mind.

 Eh, I didn't mind

Gym was a bore. The only person I knew was a girl I roomed with on the trip to DC last year; and we did not get along. Next class was Civics with Mrs. Hall. When I entered the classroom, there was a tall brunette girl there who seemed friendly. I'm the type of person who is friendly but only wants to talk to other friendly people so if you look rude, I'm gonna be too shy to say something. "Hello, my name is Jamie, what's yours." She looked as if I looked like a weirdo to be this happy about meeting another classmate. "Jacey. Nice to meet you." She shook my hand as if we were new colleagues.

Again, majority of this class was full of kids from the other middle school and I knew 2 people. If the year goes on with me not getting to know these random Ferry kids, I'm going to die.
