Twisted

The beginning

Chapter 1

As I am running through the woods on a dark and freezing cold night something is stalking me. I can't see what it is but I know it has me in it's sight. As I wake with a loss of breath, I wonder what was preying upon me in my sleep. My dreams faded away as I awoke from my reoccurring nightmare. I've never seen what's been chasing me in my nightmares and i get this eerie feeling that i will never know. I look at the clock and realize that I have only slept for about an hour.
I tiredly pull myself out of bed because I know that I won't be able to go back to sleep. I start to get ready for school and as I was getting dressed I saw something out of the corner of my eye. I turned to see what it was but there was nothing there. I finished getting dressed and went downstairs to get something for breakfast, but I still had the feeling that something was watching me. I ignored this odd feeling and left for school anyways.

~At School~

My first class of the day was super boring, and the only thing keeping me awake was the ominous feeling that something unseen was still watching me. As I kept peering over my shoulder looking for what was staring me down, my best friend, Cheyenne, kept giving me strange looks. As she put her hand on my shoulder to comfort me Cheyenne said, "I know you haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately and I'm worried about you. I mean, that's what best friends are for, right?" I explained to her that I've been having extremely bad dreams about the creature that I've never seen and about how it has been chasing me.
