At this exact moment even the ceiling seemed more interesting. She was sitting in the classroom not even listening to the teacher babbling. Her mind went somewhere else.
Sometimes she found herself back by the door, where she heard Chris' phone talk with him.
She would think about what else could he have said, how much of their conversation actually had to do with her.
And then on the other hand, she reminded herself that there was a reason why he called his best friend, not her. A reason that to some people could have sounded stupid, but to her was a major deal breaker. A big no no.
Noora couldn't wait for the bell to ring. She wanted to get out, grab some fresh air and ultimately something to eat.
She had problems downing any food for the past few months. She ate as little as possible just to feed her body and not end up as an anorexic, that was the last thing she wanted.
As much as she tried to be healthy, her favorite jeans that always fit her perfectly were loose. She lost probably few kilos. Nothing major.
But she was skinny already, so if it would keep being like this, people would start to notice.
Thankfully, she was getting better. Last night she ate two chocolate pancakes before going to bed, and now that she was ending second period, she was starting to get hungry as she didn't have any breakfast.
The blonde looked around the classroom. Everybody was busy doing some kind of exercise, but she didn't care. She just started at the clock until it finally hit the mark, and the bell rang few seconds after.
Noora got up from her seat gathering all her stuff. She was just about to walk out when her teacher stopped her.
Obviously she got reprimanded for not focusing on her work and basically not doing anything the whole hour. As a punishment she got two pages of paper to translate to English.
At least she had a reason for not going out in the evening.
She was walking down the hall, heading for the canteen, when she bumped into someone, causing her stuff to spill all over the floor. She crouched down to gather it.
"Watch where you're going." She hissed at the obstacle. Noora reached for her pencil case but a hand preceded her. She looked up to meet the same, now familiar blue eyes.
"And you're angry again."
Those words. William used to speak to her like that. She remembered every situation, right before their first kiss, after she humiliated him in front of everybody. That made her even angrier.
"And you're following me. Again." She pulled out her property out of his hand and turned around and left in a hurry.
She couldn't understand why she got so angry in split second. She felt bad for Kaleb. He didn't know, he shouldn't be blamed for the fact that everything reminded her of him.
Noora quickly used the bathroom with the intention of calming down.
When she felt a little bit better she went to the canteen. She pushed the heavy, old door. Walking inside she spotted her friends sitting by the same table they occupied since last grade. She waved at them and smiled, before grabbing a tray for her food.
