Hinata Shoyo: Surprise!

*Ding!* I woke up to the sound of my phone. I opened my eyes and looked around to see that I was sleeping on my desk in my room. My desk lamp was still on and I had a pencil in hand this whole time. I stretched and rubbed my eyes before I rummaged through my sketches on my desk for my phone, "It's gotta be here somewhere." I lifted a sheet of paper and found my phone faced down. I picked it up and checked the time, 6:51 AM. "I'll get ready for school after I read this message," I said to myself.

It was a message from my energetic-volleyball-crazed boyfriend, Hinata Shoyo! 'Good morning (f/n)! I have a surprise for you, so up and at 'em!" I smiled at the text reminding myself how we first met. I was sitting at my desk at school. I was doodling in my sketch book minding my own business until Shoyo gasped and pointed at my book, and said how good at drawing I was. He made me smile and I offered to show him more of my work the following day. Next thing I knew, we were talking and making each other laugh. He even invited me to watch his practice and I got to know the guys on the volleyball team, even the managers. We began to hang out after school and on the weekends. I began to develop feelings for him and a couple weeks later, Shoyo told me that he wanted to go out with me. I said yes of course and it has been 3 wonderful months since. Sure he was kinda short, but he was still about 4cm taller than me.

I replied to his message, 'Good morning Shoyo! I'll head to school after I eat breakfast.' I took my phone with me to the bathroom to style my hair into a ponytail with bangs brushed off to the side of my head. I put the volleyball hair clip that Shoyo gave me on to hold my bangs in place. *Ding!* 'Take your time! I'll be making sure everything is ready for you. Tell me when you're leaving your house, okay?' I giggled imagining his expression he might be wearing right now. 'Okay Shoyo. Love you <3' He responded right away, 'I love you too (f/n) ;-*'

Since I fell asleep with my uniform on, I decided to put on a little bit of perfume. The one that Shoyo said he likes. He tells me I smell like sweat pea, which is a smell he likes other than the smell of gymnasiums he visits to play in. I went downstairs to my kitchen and got a bowl for my cereal. I got the milk and poured it into the big bowl of dry cereal to eat. I packed some fruit and 2 juice boxes for Shoyo and me. I went back upstairs for my book bag and sketch book before texting my boyfriend, 'I'm leaving the house now Shoyo. I'll see soon.' I live kinda close to the school. It takes me about 15 minutes to get to school on foot and I only run if I'm late because I don't want to risk damaging my art work. 'Meet me at the gym as soon as you get here, alright?' I replied right away, 'Ok!'

I looked at the baby blue sky and white puffy clouds with a smile. I turned the corner on my daily route to school, which goes through a park. I saw the tree Shoyo and I put our names on in the middle of a carved heart, 'Hinata Shoyo + (l/n) (f/n)'. I smiled and walked passed with a little spring in my step. I was approaching the little patch of daisies. It reminded me of the time he picked one and gave it to me. I drew a picture of it and in the back, I put the meaning of the flower, 'Loyal love, innocents, and gentleness'. He told me that I was his first girlfriend and that he would never leave my side because I was able to make him smile without even trying. He is also my first boyfriend because every guy that would ask me out would never want to get to know me. I would always reject them and spend my time doodling or helping around the house.

The smell of the pretty white daisies made me want to see Shoyo even more. I slightly picked up the pace to get to school. I saw birds flying from tree to tree and hear their singing, I'll draw birds in a tree surrounded by a little patch of daisies later.

I finally made it out of the park and saw the school two blocks down. I decided I couldn't wait any longer and began to jog. When I passed the school gates, I immediately made my way to the gym. I saw that the metal gym doors were slightly parted and decided to peak through. I couldn't see anything or anyone inside, "Strange, they usually practice in the morning. Even on a Friday." I decided to part the doors and walk inside the gym, "Hello? Shoyo?" I looked around the empty gym confused until Daichi appeared at the doorway with his hands behind his back, "Hey (f/n)-chan, Good morning." I smiled and walked up to him, "Good morning Dai-san. Umm, have you seen Shoyo?" Daichi smiled, "Yeah, he told me to give these to you and give you directions when you're done reading."
