chapter 1

Annie's POV:

My boyfriend just broke up with me. Today was a very bad day. I don't think I'll be happy for a while. He was my life. Not so much anymore. But anyways, moving on I need to drink my coffee and eat my doughnut.

Kendal's POV:

I walk into the cafe. I looked to my left and saw a pretty woman. My friend Adam had just left to go to the mall to pick up flowers for his new girlfriend Lacy. She seems kinda rude. Oh well. I go and sit next to her.

Annie's POV:

Who just sat next to me? "Uhm who are you?" He said "I'm Kendal. You looked kind of lonely so I came to sit with you" I replied with "well okay I guess. I'm Annie." I'm not to sure about this. I wonder how old he is..? "Nice to meet you Annie. If you don't mind me asking how old are you?" I he says. I hesitate to respond but for some reason I do "I'm 23. What about you?" I automatically regret saying my age to a complete stranger. "I'm 27." He says with a grin on his face. This grin scares me with my past.. But I smile back anyways.

Kendal's POV:

I keep the grin on my face. She looks worried and scared and sad so I frown. "Are you okay" I ask worried for a stranger. She wants a bit then replies "yes. I-I'm fine.." she says looking upset. "Are you sure?" I say "y- actually.. No." I don't hesitate to ask why "well what's wrong? If you don't mind me asking" "my boyfriend.. He just broke up with me.. His name was.."
