Joker and Harley put on their "costumes." Joker had decided to introduce the bat to Harley. He had been working on a new project before he was brought to Arkham. He was designing a weapon that would stop the Bat. He called it Joker gas. It would paralyze the victim, or should he say enemy, and force them to smile a nice big Joker smile! And what's the harm in putting a smile on Gotham's faces!! His plan would surely attract the bat! Then he could finally meet Harley! He had just remembered that he had a gift for her!
"Harley, I have something for you and I think it will suit you very well!"
"Oh! Goodie!" He walked to the back of the staff room and picked up a giant red box. He laid it on the table.
"Open it," He smiled. Harley slowly lifted the top of the box. When she saw it, she squealed with excitement. It was a giant hammer that was black and red, Harley's favorite colors.

That's the hammer, but picture it black and red instead of wood. I couldn't find a good picture.
"I love it!" She ran over to Joker and hugged him.
"Good, good! We are going to use it when we fight the Batman." Joker replied.
"What's the plan," Harley asked. Her sweet innocent smile faded at the sound of his name. After he ruined Joker's life, Harley hated him. And she didn't care who she had to hurt to help Joker prove his point.
"We are going to use Joker gas to paralyze the mayor. I set up a robbery at his home. It will attract the Bat and we will be the surprise appearence. Then we will temporarily paralyze him while we run away with some stolen money or jewels and whatever. I will leave a bottle of the gas so that he will figure it out, follow my lead, find us again, and I haven't decided what will happen after that. We will be one step ahead of him." Joker grinned mischievously. Harley smiled back even more maliciously.
Time for the "robbery"...
Joker and Harley got out of the car and quietly broke into the building. They started by climbing onto the roof of the neighbor's house. Then they grabbed onto ledges and loose bricks to get to the edge of the roof. After that, they jumped onto a tree branch and climbed to the top. Eventually, they made their way to the roof of the Mayor's house. They waited until they heard a door opened. The Mayor's assistant was taking out the trash. The two quickly jumped down while Harley made sure the door stayed open so the alarm wouldn't go off. Then Joker sprayed the Joker gas in the assistant's face. Her arms seemed to be forced to her sides. She stood straight up and didn't move. Her lips went from a frown to a sick, terrifying, malevolent smile. Joker laughed with excitement.

You could see the fear in the woman's eyes. Joker then walked right into the house. He was smiling ear to ear. Harley giggled satisfied with the gas. The two then shut the door behind them quite loudly to attract the mayor. Joker looked at Harley and grinned, their plan was working. They heard footsteps. Harley swung the hammer over her shoulder, ready to wack someone with it.
"Doris! What have I told you about slamming the-" He walked into the kitchen and stopped short at the sight of Joker and Harley standing in his kitchen. He started to reach for the phone when Harley walked over saying,
"Sorry I gotta do this to ya hun, but we wanna meet the bat!" Then she slammed him with the hammer across the face. She must have hit him hard because he fell and made a whole in the wall. Surprisingly not unconscious yet, Harley was about to strike again when Joker said,
"Wait! We have to use the gas while he's conscious," Harley lowered the hammer from above her head. Hair hung in he face. Her makeup was smudged with dirt and sweat from getting onto the roof. The nasty look on her face and her grinding teeth slowly turned to a smile. She tilted her head to the left and put her hand on her hip, proud of her accomplishments. Joker sprayed the mayor with the gas and the phone dropped to the floor. He suddenly smiled the sick, terrifying, malevolent smile as his arms and legs were forced together. He fell over slowly, lying on the floor, paralyzed and smiling. Suddenly, there was a crash. Joker was bashed through a wall as Harley watched angrily. It was the Batman. He slammed him against the wall, holding him by the throat.
"What did you do to the mayor, talk Joker," Batman demanded. He slowly released his grip on Joker.
"Don't worry! I only paralyzed him temporarily, have you met my newest partner?" Harley stuck out her hand whilst blowing a bubble with her gum.
"Harley Quinn, nice to meet'cha" She smiled inoccently. Batman then shoved her against the wall. "How dare you!" She lifted her hammer and tried to hit him, but he grabbed the handle and held tight. She frowned, frustrated. She jumped up and kicked him across the room. Then she picked up her hammer and hit him hard. Joker came over and sprayed him with the gas. Then the two grabbed a ton of cash and gold and walked past Batman smiling. Joker placed a can of the gas on the floor and made it look like it had fallen so Batman would have a lead. Harley and Joker then made their way back to the chemical plant.
