An Unexpected Romance

I wake up and get ready for school. It's the first day back from summer break and I was nervous. I was going to be a tenth grader and there were so many clubs to join I couldn't wait. I eat breakfast then head to my new car I got over the break. A 2015 GT500 Ford Mustang Convertible. She was a beauty she's blue with white pinstripes down the middle. I've been driving her everywhere I could; to the beach, the mall, the store, everywhere. My dad is the CEO of the Ford Company that makes mustangs so he gave me a model that hasn't been released and won't be released for twelve months. I hop into the front and start her up. I may not know a lot about cars but I love to hear her start. I pull out of the drive way and go to school. When I get to school I pull up to the parking lot and see everybody starring at me with their mouths wide open. When I walk into the school I get wolf whistles and smirks. In case you haven't guessed I use to be a total loser. I had glasses, and baggy clothes, and I never looked good. I didn't really have any friends but one. Miles, he was my best friend. He made me smile in the worst of times.

I walk over to my locker and as usual I struggle with it. I'm about to give up when someone smacks me on the butt. I yelp and turn around.

"Hey, babe." Says Miles.

"Miles Turner! Don't you ever do that again!" I whisper to him. I might have changed my look but I'm still modest.

"Sorry, but you look... Hot! I couldn't pass it up." he tells me. I had straightened my hair and put on a long sleeve golden translucent shirt with white short shorts and black and white combers.

"Thank you, but that doesn't mean you can slap me on the backside... in public!" I tell him.

"Hey, looks like you have some admirers," he says signaling behind me.

"Who are they?" I say dare not turning around.

"Jake, Chance, and Mitchell." He says.

"Don't let them talk to me. Do something so they'll go away?" he smiles at me and pulls me closer by the waist. He pulls me close and kisses my neck. I try not to blush or giggle, fore the kisses tickle. He whispers into my ear.

"They are still walking over but I think to talk to me, don't talk and keep your head toward your locker."

"Okay." I tell him, and he kisses my neck once more before I pull away. I kneel down and go thru my backpack, putting my books into the locker.

"So who's your friend?" I hear Chance ask.

"Actually she's my girlfriend and you already know her." He says crossing his arms leaning against a locker. I'm his what? I think.

"Well introduce us." Jake says.

"Fine." he takes my hand and turns me around. "Jake, Mitchell, Chance this is Lauren Games. Like I already said, you know her!" he says putting his arm around my waist pulling me close.

"Wait, Lauren? Is that really you? What happen to the girl with the glasses and baggy clothes." Mitchell asks me.

"I out grew them," I retort before turning back to my locker.

"Her parents finally forced her to get a make over." Miles says. "Have you seen her ride? It's a 2015 GT500 Mustang, and it's beautiful." the warning bell ring and he turns to me. "I have to go, I'll see ya later babe." he says kissing my cheek.

"Bye Miles." I say to him. I shut my locker and turn around to see three guys starring at me. Jake and Chance are to my left and right and Mitchell is in the middle.

"So why are you dating Miles? How did you get him to go out with you." Chance asks me narrowing his eyes.

"Why are you dating Jeanette? How did you get her to go out with you." I say repeating his words. I see Jake standing there laughing and I see Mitchell looking at me from my feet to my hair. I turn to him then say.

"Like what you see?" then push past them. I walk down the hall with guys starring at me when I pass them.
