The Akwardest Proposal Ever

Percy's Point of View

I blinked open my eyes to bright lights. It was like I was swimming in a pool of screams and confusion. I remember pricks and loud voices. Vague images of doctors, visitors, and Annabeth floated in my half-conscious mind. I had dreams about operation table, and beeping machines. Finally, eyes flying open, I felt lots pain.

My chest exploded with knives, my face hissed with agony as it melted like acid. I screamed and screamed as Annabeth cried.  
"No!!" she screamed
"Athena!!!" She yelled over my screaming "Get Apollo!!!"

Then, when I surrendered to Thanatos' cruel hands, the pain stopped. I felt nothing but nothing. Friendly faces gathered around me to prick me and sting me some more. But I felt no pain. I thought about Annabeth telling me once that when someone is about to freeze to death,
they feel really warm. I wondered if I was experiencing something like that.

What I think happened was I regained consciousness, and started talking to Annabeth. She was telling me that I had been unconscious when the earthquake stopped. Also that when I was found I:
Had Low blood sugar
Nearly lost my leg
Had a Brick stuck in my skull and
Ripped my skin over my arm so the bone was showing.
I couldn't remember why I would be walking around with an earthquake happening, then, it hit me. I was going to propose to Annabeth! Why. Am. I. So. Stupid?!
"Annabeth ," I croaked
"Yes?"
"Did you see what was inside the box that was in my pocket?"
"No"
"Can you hand it to me?"
"Sure"
She handed me the box and sat next to me.
"What's in there?"
"Annabeth Chase" I started "We've know each other for almost ten years now", " When I met you I would never admit I had a crush on you",
"I want to spend every day of my life with you",
"Will you marry me?"
But before she could answer a nurse walked in. "P-"
"Yes"Annabeth said calmly "I can't even think about not being with you for the rest of my life" she said.
"Ummm" said the nurse awkwardly "It's time for Percy's medication"
"I'll leave" said Annabeth, smiling. The nurse gave me some strawberry tasting stuff that was powdery and not very filling. I had a sick feeling whenever I moved and I couldn't go a few minutes without moving. I really felt bad when I drifted into a deep, deep sleep.
