How you meet

"So how was that book I lent (Y/n)?" Arthur asked, then took a sip of his tea. "I was totally awesome! Thank you for letting me borrow it." I said, the warmth of the tea cup I was holding spreading through out my hands.  Right now I'm sitting in Arthur's living room, about a week ago he lent one of his books on mythical creatures. I don't believe in them, but they are quite interesting. "So what was your favorite?" Arthur asked, a sparkle in his eyes. He really believes in them. Arthur and I have been friends for awhile now, in fact I was one of his colonies at one point. I had gained my independence before America, I never really did meet America, although we are around the same age. Lucky for me though my way to independence wasn't as heart wrenching and bloody as America's. Not too long after I gained my independence did Arthur and I mend our relationship. Even though I was a new country I still needed some help from him from time to time, and he almost always gave some to me willingly.

"Oh I believe mine was the Hippocampus*. It is just so interesting, what with it's upper body of a horse and lower body of a fish. And how-" I said, but was interrupted by the slamming of the front door opening. "Yo Britain!" A male's voice exclaimed, cough cough shouted cough cough, coming toward the living room. The person that came in was wearing a brown bomber jacket, a white t-shirt with what I believe is the superman symbol, I have never been good with things like super heroes, and some dark blue jeans. "America could you please keep your voice down?" Arthur asked, closing his eyes and letting out an irritated sigh. "Nope! Whoa who are you?!" America, the male that came in, shouted looking at me. I let out a nervous chuckle, his loudness is starting to make me uncomfortable. "I'm (C/n). Although you can call me (Y/n)." I said, looking to the side. "Nice to meet you (Y/n). I'm America, although my human name is Alfred F. Jones, but you can call me the Hero!" America said. "Okay." I said, feeling a slight blush cross my face. Now that I'm getting a closer look at him I've noticed how good looking he is. He has beautiful blond hair, and striking blue eyes framed by his glasses. "Well sorry Iggy, but I'm just gonna have to take (Y/n) from you now." Alfred said, then grabbed me by my wrist and dragged me out of the room, making the tea cup fall to the floor, and luckily not break, and spill the tea everywhere. "Alfred get back here with her you twit!" Arthur shouted after us.

"Alfred where are you taking me?!" I exclaimed, as said male dragged me throughout the streets of London. "I just wanted to get to know you is all Dudette. So I thought I might take you to a park and talk!" Alfred said, laughing after his sentence. To say his laugh was obnoxious was an understatement. Alfred dragged us over to a park bench and sat down, me doing the same. "Okay so what did you want to talk about?" I said, quite upset with what he just did. "I dunno. I just want to get to know you is all." Alfred said. I let out an irritated sigh, now I know why Arthur says Alfred is so annoying. "Okay so what do you like?" I said, turning to him. "Well I love to eat burgers and watch superhero movies. Don't ask me which superhero is my favorite, because I just can't chose Dudette. So who's your favorite superhero (Y/n)." Alfred asked turning to look at me with his beautiful cerulean eyes. What! No bad (Y/n), very bad! You can't fall for someone you just met! It's very irrational! I felt myself flush at his question. "Well I don't have one. I've never watched any superhero movies." I said, rubbing the back of my neck. "What?!" Alfred exclaimed. "Yeah I haven't." I said. "You totally have to watch some! Aha! I know you can come over to my house sometime and we will have a superhero marathon! It'll be so cool! Here's my phone number! Call me when you're free! Bye for now (Y/n) I have to go meet up with some friends now!" And with that he was gone. I looked down at the little, white card that had his phone number. I let a smile grace my lips, I have a feeling this is going to be the start of something great.

You meet again/You become friends

I let out a sigh and picked up the slip of paper that had Alfred's phone number on it. It's been about three weeks since I meet Alfred and I have yet to call. I grabbed my phone and typed the digits into my phone, hitting the call button and pressing the phone to my ear. "This is the Hero! Who is this?" Alfred asked once he finally picked up the phone. "Alfred. It's me (Y/n)." I said. "Oh right! So are you ready to come over and have that superhero marathon?!" Alfred exclaimed. I winced and pulled the phone away from my ear then transferred it to my non-bleeding ear.  "Yes. Can you please talk quieter I'd kinda like to keep my hearing?" I said. "Oh yeah sorry Dudette." Alfred said talking much quieter. "It's fine Alfred." I said.  "Um Dudette could you just call me Al or the Hero, I prefer my friends calling me Al." Alfred said. "Oh uh, yeah sure Alfr-I mean Al." I said. 'He considers me a friend?' "Thanks Dudette. Oh and I'll be over in 20 for you." Alfred said then hung up. 'Wait how does he know where I live?!'
