Another year.. Another town. I move around - A LOT. I'm used to it by now. Both of my parents died in a car crash 3 years ago; and ever since then I haven't been able to stay in one place for too long.. Afraid of getting too attached. I've learned to take care of myself with the exception of my Aunt helping me and moving around with me... Since she has no family either.

Of course; a new town means a new school and a new place to stay.. But I'm sure Aunt Celia already has that figured out.

. . .

And I was correct! Aunt Celia already had everything planned out. I am enrolled in Creekview High and live in an apartment nearby.

Apparently after I came in to take a look at my new house; I fell asleep on the bed with the smooth plastic covers over it.. I made it with just seconds to spare from the front office to my first period. I have biology.

The room is filled with teenage bodies! I know that's what an average high school classroom is supposed to have; but there's just so many! I don't find a seat until the teacher - Mr. Sarraff - points one out.

I'm sharing a table with a boy that has the deepest brown eyes I have ever seen... and a ginger that looked like she could care less about what was going on around her.

My eyes were back on the boy again. His eyes - it's so hard not to take mine off of his! They look infinite.. Like they could go on forever and ever.. And never stop.

I was deep in thought about how long I thought I would be staying in Columbus when I heard the bell ring. After class I had trouble opening my locker. Of course - with the luck I have.. Hmph. I was about to give up when I saw a hand on the lock.

"Once you put in the combination; you have to push the handle side to side before you can open it."

I was so overwhelmed by the way his hard, muscular body brushed up my arm. His brown hair fell almost perfectly around his cool brown eyes, curling a little to the left of his face.

"Thank you.. Um.. I'll make note of that" I said, trying hard not to stare too hard at him.

"Mmmhm."

That was all?! Mhm? Well.. I should introduce myself.. "I'm Nadine by the way."

"Nicolo. Listen, I've gotta go. Class starts in a minute. Bye."

"Oh.. Um. Yeah. See you later." So that was all? Nicolo did not seem like the type of guy that cared about getting to class on time.

I knew I wasn't supposed to make friends - I move around; and having friends would only make that at least 5 times harder.. Yet something in me urged me to befriend Nicolo. Something in me knew he couldn't be a cold hearted jerk.. Could he?...
