Chapter. 1

I opened my eyes and realized it was morning. damn I slept so comfortable. I sat up and looked at the time. 8:25. 8:25? shit! stupid alarm didn't wake me up. I got up and changed my jeans and put a loose sweater on. I ran to the bathroom and pulled my long purple hair into a high ponytail. I put a bit of mascara and put on my blue vans. I grabbed my bag and went outside. It was 9:02. class already started. I got out my apartment and thought 'should I go to Starbucks....or...school?' ehh. I'm late anyways. I walked down the block and turned the corner and crossed the street. before I reached the door I got a text. it was from my best friend Demi.

Maddie where are you? class started 5 minutes ago. are you sick?

I texted back quickly.

yea. sorry baii ill see if I can go tomorrow. tell Jacob please. love you. xoxo

I walked in and ordered my drink. I sat down and waited to be called. I looked up and a blonde headed guy with a white tee and black jeans walked in. I over heard him say he wanted five drinks. well someone is in need of coffee. They called out a name called " ma-die." I knew it was me so I stood up. I walked over and took it. as I was walking out the same blond kid was behind me with his hands full. I opened the door as he said " Thank-you." with the most fake American accent ever. I started walking until I heard a loud crash. I turned around and seen the blonde picking up the now empty cups. I walked over and helped him pick it up. " sorry...I can be a little clumsy. e-especially with a-a pretty girl like you." I looked up at him and seen his pale cheeks turning pink. "aww sweet. but you're going to have to get rid of that fake America accent!" " ahh cant fool an American!" he said in what seemed to be an Irish accent. "sorry I didn't catch your name." "oh sorry. maddie." I said. "James." I smiled and started walking to the opposite direction. When all of a sudden the same blond kid was running behind me calling me. " hey. you forgot this. the lady in front told me to bring it to you." " umm thanks" " so uhh where you headed?" " oh umm im going to my apartment." " oh cool need a ride?" " no thanks." " you sure? your sweating!" "well its better to lose fat then gain it right?" " yea. uhh see you around?" " sure." I walked over to my apartment and got in. I went into my bathroom and turned the hot water on. I stripped naked and went into the burning hot water. my phone started ringing but I cant answer it. so it went to my voicemail. *beep* "hey its Grande. sorry I cant reach your call. leave a message and I call back. promise." *beep* "hey maddie its me Jacob. Demi told me you were home sick. that's probably why you didn't answer your phone. anyways I was wondering if I could come by? later? call me back when you get this. uhh. bye?" I guess he can come over. I don't mind. Jacob and me have been friends forever. more than me and Liza. my mom used to take care of him. so we got close. me and Liza met in second grade. so we became the three musketeers. except there's only one guy. I got out the shower and put on a white long sleeve with a pink and black lace skirt. I got my knee-high black socks and my black combat boots. if im going to have visitors im going to need food aren't I? I pulled my purple hair into a high ponytail and got my wallet and walked over to the store I work in to get discounts. I walked down the chip isle and started putting random things. " just so you know. those pickle chips don't taste very good." I turned around to see James scrunching his nose. " what are you doing here?" "well. something just told me to be here." I smiled and kept getting random things. James tagged along just pushing the cart while I put the things in it. I went over to the cashier and put everything on the band. "20.23" I went into my wallet but didn't have any cash. I went into my skirt pocket to get my card. dammit. I left it my jean pocket. "s-sorry I left my card at home..." before the cashier said anything, James went into his pocket and paid with his money. " I can spare some change." he said looking at me. "aw thanks. your a life saver." I told him walking out with the bags. "James came and took the bags from me." " so where's your car love?" " oh I don't have a car. I walk." " oh right. well c'mon. just tell me where you live. ill drive you there." " its fine. I can walk. I do it almost everyday." " c'mon. I insist on a pretty girl like you to drive in a nice hummer." I laughed and followed him. before I even got near the hummers door he opened it for me and took the bags. I got in and he drove me to my apartment.

So today I meet the prettiest girl of me life. and she walks every single day to her destination while other selfish people drive past her laughing. I decided to get to know her more so im doing generous things for her. we drove to her apartment. I had all the bags because that's what gentlemen do. before we reached her door she stopped." oh no.." was all she said. I walked past her to see that everything she had in her apartment was gone. she walked in and put the bags down. she stared at the things that were left. like her sofa, her backpack,her books, her bed sheets and a few clothes hear and there. " they took my card!" she yelled from what seemed to have been the bathroom. now it looked like a hurricane had happened. she sat down on the verge of tears. " hey. its alright! you can stay at my place. just until you can get this place restored and renewed." I said hugging her. "really?" " sure. of course. I wouldn't want a pretty girl like you living in the streets..." " you really are my superman!", she said as she sniffled.
