Aidan Glaive, the youngest Knight of the Crimson, was following a man who led him and his armies through the woods. As they were riding, he could see the city gate and immediately calculated how much time they will take to arrive there. They were currently marching at full speed, but even so, Aidan couldn't rid the thought of them being too late to arrive.

'Damn that storm!'

Aidan gritted his teeth as he cursed. The blizzard that he faced a few days ago was the root of all this chaos. Not only made him getting late but also made his letter never reached Commander Yama at Roselake. As the result of it, the commander could only provide him with a few soldiers and promised him to send more soon as he managed to gather them. Aidan himself didn't bring many soldiers from Allega to make him moved faster and he cursed more for his decision.

"Stop cursing. You chose the right decision to only bring a few. If you bring more, we couldn't be able to arrive so soon like this and we probably would still be stuck in the snow." A woman scolded him. She showed up suddenly beside him, trying to keep her horse being at the same pace like him.

He turned his gaze and met the older woman's yellow orbs. "Naomi-san." He greeted her. "I thought you were guarding the back side."

"Surprisingly, someone had volunteered to replace me! Isn't it good? Now I can watch the fireworks. If it could be seen from this thick forest of course." She chirped cheerfully.

"Don't force someone else to do your job." He snorted.

"I'm not Captain!" Naomi said with a serious tone, but later a sly grin rose on her lips, betraying her voice.

Aidan let out a sigh while Naomi was giggling. He couldn't believe that woman was his senior. Even though she was older than him and also had the same title as the Knight of the Crimson, her act was still as juvenile as a teenager. 'Age doesn't define matureness.' He thought. But that's what he liked from her. She was never failed to find a way to stay positive and cheerful even in the worst situation.

"Aidan, look!" Naomi called him with her finger was pointing above.

He gazed to where the older woman pointed as he vaguely heard a sound of something exploded. Then he saw it. Three, four, seven bright balls was skyrocketing to the pitch black sky. It burst out in sequence, lightening the city under with its million colorful sparks. Redwick was now been visible to see. Its light illuminated its thick and high wall that separated the Crimson Kingdom from its enemy's territorial.

He spurred his horse to run faster with eyes still locked to the fort. It felt like years had passed by for him to just arrive at the city gate. But getting closer to it would only make him more irritated because now he could hear tocsin sounded from the city's bell. The fireworks that just stopped now was making the sound more clearly to hear and it made his

"It's a danger signal," Naomi yelled. "We need to move faster."

Aidan nodded and spurred his horse, making it neighed as it tried to fasten its pace. The gate was near now and he could saw it slowly opened. He could imagine the creaking sound of the gate as the gatekeepers were trying to open it as fast as they could. Soon, the gate opened slightly and Aidan could see it was a total chaos at there. The citizens were rushing out through the gate even though it still not fully open.

The commotion made Aidan needed to slow his army pace. He then pointed his finger to one of his lieutenants and gave him a command. "Bring your men and evacuate the citizens to Roselake!"

After that order, Aidan spurred his horse once again. His body is itching, couldn't wait any longer to arrive at the fort to slice that damn ghost army. It was hard to go through the city with all the festival stall that using half of the street.
