RING! RING! RING!
My alarm made its normal annoying sound,telling me it's time to wake up. It was my senior year in Hector High and after a long and crazy summer it was time to go back to school. I got up out of bed and headed for the shower "Miss King,your mother left early this morning,she wanted me to tell you that she will be back next month!" My butler George yelled "okay!" I yelled back "oh and breakfast is ready for you on the table!"
I finished getting dressed and I grabbed my backpack and closed my door and went downstairs. I lived in a pretty huge house,it was a triple story house with classic furniture that my mom collects when she travels. I lived with my mother in this huge house,my parents were divorced and my mom has her own fashion company and my father is a very well known lawyer and I am Mia King their daughter. I went over to the fridge to get my lunch that George packs for me everyday. I sat down on the table and started eating. I finished eating and grabbed my iPhone and backpack and headed to the garage. I grabbed the keys to my red Cadillac that I got from my dad for my 16th birthday. It was a nice day today in L.A and I wore my jean shorts with a white crop top that showed my tummy a little, a pair of black vans and a loose dark green jacket. I parked the car in the school parking lot and got out and as soon as my feet touched the ground my group of friends came running "bitch!"   Sasha my best friend yelled giving me a bear hug. "Hey sash!" I said hugging her back " I missed your annoying ass so much!" "Missed you too bitch" I said she pulled back and rolled her eyes and I just laughed. I hugged and chatted with the squad for awhile until the school bell rang then I made my way to my first class. I walked in the creative arts class and sat at the back with some of my friends who were in the class. "Hey Mia. How are you?" Dylan the biggest player in school said "im fine" I said coldly. "Oh well that's uh good. I was wondering if you could go out wi--" "sorry I can't" from the corner of my eye I saw him roll his eyes. Then the teacher walked inside, a tall lady with curly long hair "Good morning class. I am your creative arts teacher Mrs Brown and I hope we ca--" the door opened and a girl who looked like she had been running walked in "I'm so sorry I'm late"  she said panting "ah,miss Willaims. So nice of you to join us rather late. Take a seat" Mrs Brown said the girl nodded and turned around, her eyes caught mine for a second then she quickly looked down and walked to the corner of the class and sat down. Mrs Brown started teaching and I spent the whole lesson looking out the window and looking at my phone when she wasn't paying attention. "This is a very important project and I expect good results. I will be pairing you in two" I took my phone out and went through Instagram "Mia King and Daisy Williams you will be partners this year" I looked up when I heard my name. I looked over at Sasha and she looked at me "whose that?" I asked a little confused as to why I wasn't paired up with Sasha like I always am. She pointed to the back of the class and I turned around and looked at the girl who had walked in late. "This has to be some kind of joke right?" I said loudly "no miss King this is not a joke, you need this mark to graduate so I suggest you get up and start working" I rolled my eyes and grabbed my stuff and walked over to the girl and sat next to her. "If you want I can do the project by myself" she said looking down at her hands that were on her lap,her hair was covering her face and so I couldn't see her face properly. "I'm not that low" I said "and can you please look at me when I speak". She slowly turned around and tugged her hair behind her ear. The girl was actually really good looking, her caramel brown eyes stared at me then she pushed her glasses up and gave me a soft smile. "Why did you say that?" I asked "why did you say you can do the project all by yourself?" I asked "I-I umm I don't know" she looked down at her hand again and I sighed "oh okay then. So what is this project about? I wasn't paying attention when Mrs Bitch over there was talking" I said "uh...everybody got different things to do and we have to do a presentation on the history of the school and how it started and stuff and it's due for 2 weeks time on the Monday"she said,her eyes were still on her hands "do you always do this? Just sit stare at your hands all the time?" I said, then she looked up at me again "sorry" "okay. Well uh I'll meet you at the library after school and we can grab a couple books there and then we'll go over to my house to do more research. Oh and my name is Mia,Mia King" I said "Daisy,Daisy Williams" she said I shook her hand and I swear I felt butterflies in my tummy the minute I touched her hand,she quickly pulled it away and I looked at her confused but she just turned around before I could catch her eyes. Then the bell rang and she grabbed her backpack and headed for the door,for some reason my eyes looked her up and down. "Ey!" Sasha snapped her fingers in front of my face and I looked at her "you good?" She asked "yeah I'm good" I said standing up and walking out to my next class. After my second class we had lunch an like normal I sat with my squad but when I was taking my lunch out I saw Daisy,I saw her sitting alone on a table reading a book then right on cue she looked up from her book and caught me looking at her. She gave me small smile then went back to reading her book "hey Mia, are you coming to Jason's party on Saturday?" Jessie one of the girls who was sitting on some guys lap asked, I looked up at her "yeah I'm going" I said she nodded and I started eating my lunch while chatting to Sasha. "Oh my gosh he soo likes you" the Jessie girl was talking to me about Jason,the schools football captain telling me he has a crush on me. "I think you should go on a date with him,he's like the most attractive guy in the football team" this chick was really annoying "not everything is about looks" I said getting up from my seat and walking to the bin. I couldn't help but look over at the table Daisy was sitting in but she wasn't there anymore. I walked back to my table and carried on conversing with the squad until the bell rang. The day seemed to drag but when the bell rang to end school i was more than happy to leave the loud hallways. I headed for the library where I found Daisy sitting on the floor at the corner of the room reading a book, I walked over to her. "Hey" I said tapping her on the shoulder,she seemed startled then she sighed when she saw me p. "Oh hi...again" she said getting up off the floor. "I found books" she said pointing to a bunch of stacked books on the table "this is a lot of books" I said taking them "okay let's go" we made our way to the parking lot and I opened my car and looked at Daisy who was standing in front of the car "is this your car?" She asked "yeah it is,now get inside" inside the car Daisy kept staring at the car like she was seeing the inside of a spaceship "this looks like the inside of a spaceship" she said, I let out a giggle and she looked at me. I opened the gate and drove inside the yard, I parked the car in front of the house and walked out "whoa. This is your house? No actually change that,this is not a house this is a mansion" she said as I opened the door "whoa" she said with huge eyes "come on" I said pointing up the stairs. I opened the door to my room and let her in "whoa" was all she said "you drew all these?" She asked walking around and looking at some of my drawings that I hung up on my wall "yeah" "these are amazing" she said "thank you" . I closed the door and put the books down on my desk and pulled a chair up for Daisy. "Sit" I said and she sat down "which one do you want to do? You can read the books and I can do the research or I can read the books and you can do the research or we both do one thing?" "We both do one thing" "okay, I'll get George to bring us some snacks. I'm hungry" I stood up and went down stairs. "George!" I yelled "yes ms King" "oh hi. Uh I have a friend upstairs and we are working on a project and we will be up there for awhile so please make us some food and some snacks and drinks please. Oh and once that is done the guards can get in their positions around the premises and you can go home early today" "yes ms King and thank you" I waved him off and went back upstairs. I walked in the room to find Daisy looking at my drawings "I thought I would find you reading a book" "yeah I thought I would be reading a book too but your drawings distracted me. Their so good" then she turned around and came to sit down. I grabbed a book and put my legs on the desk, she grabbed a book and started reading. George brought us some food and snacks then he left and Daisy and I spent some time getting more information and writing notes down. "So tell me why you sit alone at lunch?" I asked putting my book down and looking at her. She looked up at me a little surprised "uh I-I don't know" she said lifting her glasses up "oh okay. Can I please take your glasses off?" I didn't give her a chance to answer in leaned forward and took her glasses off, but she quickly looked down at the floor then I lifted her chin up and she finally looked up at me "I think you should wear contacts or take eye drops. You have beautiful eyes and it's a shame that you hide them behind these things. Stay here,I'll go and get you some contacts" I stood up and walked out the door and went to moms bedroom. I found her contacts in her drawer and took them then I went back to Daisy who was still in the position I left her in "here" she turned around and looked up at me and took the box "uh t-thank you" she said taking them "go put them on" I pointed to the bathroom and she nodded. After a couple minutes she came back and I looked over at her. "That's better" I said. She sat down and went back to reading her book but for some reason I felt an urge to talk to her. "So do you have a boyfriend?" I asked,again she looked at me with a surprised  expression "no...I don't" she said "do you?" She asked "no" "oh. Tell me why your asking me so many questions?" I was a little suprised she actually asked me something, she was normally quiet. "I'm just curious" I said "oh okay" I looked at the time on my phone "it's getting late, I think I should get you home. We can do some of this on Friday cause I have basketball practice tomorrow unless you can wait until practice is over?" "It's fine. I'll wait until your practice is over" "okay get your stuff" I got up and put the books away. I parked my car in front of a nice and simple house "thank you for the ride" she said "it's nothing" I said. She nodded "uh okay uh see you tomorrow then" she said "see you" she got out the car and I drove out her driveway.
