"Hey, wake up Lauri! Guess what day it is," said Lewis in a exited voice as he poked at the invisible Lauri, who was sleeping on an invisible bed. "Saturday morning, 7:00 am, October 30," said Lauri getting out of bed, the bed appeared the moment he left the sheets. "Yes, I know it's also our birthday,"
"Mom says that we can have doughnuts instead of cake, this is going to be great!"
"I can't wait to give you your birthday present," said Lauri as he pulled off his pajamas, and throwing them on the floor making them appear out of nowhere. "You didn't invite anyone I hope," he said now pulling on his pants and shirt; walking around as a pair of clothes. "Well..." said Lewis making a guilty face, "I did invite a few people." Lauri looked at Lewis furious, but Lewis could not tell weather he was happy or angry. But using his best of logic he assumed that Lauri was unhappy, "only Charlie, and Frank" he added quickly. "Ugh, why Lewis, you do this every time! Can't I just have a birthday with you Mom and Dad? You always have to invite your friends, and I'm never allowed to do anything; It's my birthday too!" Lauri flopped down on the bed angry and upset, his clothes had not been touching him long enough to disappear, so he looked like a neatly layer pile of clothing on the bed. "Come on, just this one birthday, I promise next time it'll just be us okay." Lauri still was not happy with this, he did not want to have a birthday party with just his family, he wanted to have a birthday party with his friends; which were none. And he knew that he could not have a party with unreal friends, so he just became upset about something else. "My pants don't fit!" Said Lauri getting up and storming out of the room grumbling.
But the grumbling did not last long, for as he made his way down stairs his mom greeted him with a, "happy eleventh birthday Lauri! I made you pancakes, where is Lewis?"
"I don't know,"
"Lewis!" His mom called as she lay down a plate of pancakes, "coming." Down came Lewis looking around the room, "is Lauri here?"
"Nope," said Lauri beginning to be unhappy again, "well I'll be as good as gone while your friends are over." Lauri poked at his pancakes, they looked unappetizing now that he had remembered Lewis. "Lauri, please don't be rude and Lewis, you didn't say anything about friends coming over!" Lewis looked down at his milk and started pouting, "but Mom, I never have friends over, can I just have them over today?" Their mom thought about this for a moment, "fine, just for today,"
"But it's my birthday too!"
"Lauri, you stop this complaining or I'll give both you, and Lewis' presents away; do you understand?" Lewis and Lauri said "yes mam," and slowly ate.
Lauri thought it was unfair, and he wanted everyone to know it. So he went and pouted in the treehouse, but no one ever knew he was gone. Because he was invisible anyways, and this made him even more unhappy.
"Lewis gets everything he wants, and I don't get anything, why do I have to be invisible it would be better if I never existed." He went on for about an hour, and soon everyone knew were he was because the treehouse disappeared after ten minutes.
