Why does it seem like every time it rains, something bad is going to happen? For seventh grader, Emily Strong, it usually rained when something bad happened. It was the first day of seventh grade and it was already off to a bad start.

Emily's older brother, Justin, woke up really late, making Emily miss her first two periods of the day. Then, her dad yelled at them that they needed to get to school and Justin got super pissed. Then, on top of it all, Emily was the one who got in trouble for it.

By the time Emily got to school, third period was half over. On the bright side, it was only the first day so all that was happening in all her classes was the teachers going over rules and classroom expectations.

Fourth period, P.E., was easier. Emily could just sit and read.

Then, a girl walked past her and she was alone too. Emily had seen this girl before. She was usually hanging out with two guys all the time. From what Emily had seen of her, she was really girly. Emily watched her sit in the corner of the gym and watch everyone in the gym. When her eyes laid on Emily, Emily went back to reading.

Emily decided not to worry about the girl. If the girl came up to her, then she'd say something. But if she didn't, Emily wouldn't worry about it.

A few days later, On Friday, it was gym class again and Emily was reading...again. Emily loved to read. Gym class was when she really had time to read because she was so busy with band and schoolwork outside of it.

Anyway, Emily was reading when these two girls came up to her.

"Hi. Are you okay? You look lonely." One said.

"Oh, I'm okay. Just reading." Emily said politely.

"Well, yeah, but we mean that you're always alone." The other girl said.

"Well, I'm not known as the most popular girl, that's for sure." Emily replied.

"Do you wanna hang with us? I'm Dixie."

"I'm Elizabeth."

"Um, yeah. Sure. I could use some friends." Emily said, closing her book.

Thus, started the beginning of the beginning.

Hi guys! So, this first story probably won't be very good because the story of how we met isn't exactly the most exciting story but, hey. It doesn't matter how you met. It matters that you met.

But, we hope you enjoy the rest of the story! Don't forget to comment, vote, and/or follow!
