Vincent POV
I sat on couch watching tv as Veronica walked her way towards me.
"What are you doing?" I put down my phone
"Nothing" she smirked and jumped on me .
We started to kiss which turned out into a make out session. I started to slowly pull her shirt up until I received a call. We stopped as I picked up my phone once more, it was Vanessa.
"It's you sister" I was excited. Aaron and her are getting married. I can't believe it
"Hey! Is this the bride to-" Before I could finish the sentence she interrupts me
"Come down to the cliff beside bryerwood." She was crying "please hurry"
I could here police sirens creep up towards her
"What's wrong? Are you hurt?" she hung up before I could get a response.
"What happened?" I could feel Veronica breaths become jagged. Her hazel eyes started to tear up, thinking something has gone wrong. I got up quickly and grabbed my coat. Before I left, I inched up to roni to give her a peck on the cheek and a bear hug
"Everything will be fine. I love you, angel eyes" she gave me a little smile as she wiped away her tears. I got into my car and drove to Vanessa.
I exited my car and saw Vanessa sitting with the cops.
"Hey guys I got this one" I told my men
"What happened?" I said
"He was shot. Aaron... He was shot." She stared at the ground.
"Where is he now?" I asked her with sympathy
"He just got into a ambulance" she said with tears streaming down her face
"Come on. I'll take you to him." I put my arm around her and guided her to my car. I drive Vanessa to the hospital and took her to Aaron.
"Hi. We're visiting Aaron Van Wormer. Do you have any idea where he might be?" I asked the nurse. She typed a few button on her screen and said,"He's in the ICU. I will lead you guys." She took us to his room. The doctor was standing in the door way.
"Oh good. Are you his friends?" He asked us
"Yes. I'm his friend and she's his girlfriend." I responded. Vanessa walked over to his bedside and held his hand. The doctor brought me outside to leave Vanessa alone with him.
"His gunshot wound is extremely close to his heart and he has a minor head injury from the fall. He is in critical condition, so I made the decision to put him here. I will try to operate on him as soon as possible." He quietly said to me
"Ok. Thank you, Doctor" he walked away and I stared at Nessa. She fell asleep holding his hand. How could this happen?
