Chapter 5

Now we will see what Biscy has in mind for the crew! =)

Milly:

Day 6: six days have passed since Wing, Biscy and the others arrived. Gon, Kurapika, and I have given them an abridged version of the incident with Killlua, i didnt give them extensive details though. What happened after i left the room with Killua and Illumi; i havent even told Kyra.

Zushi was really upset after we finished telling the story, he was angry and didnt understand why Killua would do what he did. Biscy and Wing remained very calm and didnt really react to anything we said. I guess that should be expected from two Masters. Pokkle on the other hand, he got so enraged that he had to go outside so he wouldnt start breaking things.

We didnt understand why he was so upset but Ponzu kind of explained, "He may have a very stern and serious exterior, but Pokkle has always had a soft heart for children. His whole life he watched young kids suffer because of other people's carelessness, he cant help himself. He could never standby and watch a child cry if there was something he could do to stop it." She got a sad expression as she watched him outside from the window. He was shooting his Nen arrows all over the place and he was shouting obscene things to the air.

"Its alright Ponzu." I assured her. She smiled softly.

Today makes the seventh day of training, a week of none stop Nen learning. Gon has been progressing at an incredible rate already, and Zushi is already ahead of all of us in terms of technique. of course Kurapika, Pokkle, and Ponzu have all already mastered their Hatsu  ( editors note: just so no one gets confused, i made it so that Ponzu has passed the Hunter Exam the year after she failed. So she passed and has learned Nen during the secret exam.)  but they are still training with us for moral support. But me; i havnt made any progress what so ever! Kyra is concerned because she still doesnt want me to learn Nen at all.

Today we start with our usual Ren; rev up as far as we can go then hold it until we cant anymore. Biscy wants us to make it for and hour at least. When we started training six days ago, Kurapika and Pokkle were the only ones that could hold it past 20 minutes but that is because they use their Nen more often then the rest of us. Now, however, after just a few days everyone can hold their Ren for nearly and hour. That is, everyone EXCEPT ME!

"Dont be discouraged Milly, the others have just had more formal training thats all." Biscy tried to encourage me. That may be part of my problem but i know there has to be something else holding me back.

When we have finished for today the sun had already been set for a few hours. We are all sent to bed; my body aches all over. I wonder if my mind and body disagree with my decision to expand my Nen? =/

When the sun begins to rise i immediately wake and jump out of my cot. I run to the wash room to get changed and ready for the day. Shortly after Aunt Mito and Gon get up too and go about their beusiness as usual. After we enjoy a nutritious breakfast we head out to begin training for the day.

"I want to congradulate everyone on making it to the 1 week mark in our training!" Biscy announces to her gang of students. "It may not seem like a long time, but i call the first week the deciding period. Since you have all made it this long with all your limbs intact and you havnt run away crying; now you have no choice but to be my students!" She laughs slyly and gets an evil look on her face.

"You have all made excellent prgress and we believe you are ready to learn some of the more advanced Nen techniques." Wing tells us. "For the next couple of months we will be learning about the seven advanced applications of the four fundimentals, they are Gyo, In, En, Shu, Ko, Ken, and Ryu. You will learn to use them effectively and apply them in combat.   (editors note: If anyone gets lost in this explanation you can message me any questions. I know this Nen stuff can get complicated, i had to do a ton of research before writing this section.)    I will now explain each of these briefly: Gyo, this is an advanced application of Ren that focuses your Aura into your eyes. Once you have done this you can see more clearly someone or something being made invisible with Zetsu. In, this is an advanced for of Zetsu. Like Zetsu it allows you to shut off your Aura, however, unlike Zetsu it takes more concentration because it is a stronger technique. Even with Gyo it is difficult to sense someone using In. En is the techniques used to expand you Aura farther from you body, an advanced application of Ren. This can be used to heighten reflexes or find enemies. Shu, this is an advanced application of Ten which allows the user to extend the reach of his Aura into an object whether it is a weapon or something they work to create. Some exceptionally talented craftsmen who arent Nen users can sometimes use Shu without knowing it.   (These are known as Nen Geniuses. Well known geniuses: Neon Nostrad, Benny Delon, Zepile, and Komugi)    Ko is an application of Ten, Ren, and Zetsu.You must focus your Aura into one part of your body. This is commonly used in combat to reinforce punches or kicks to make them many times stronger than a normal attack. Of course it can be used for both offensive and defensive purposes. Ken is basically Ko all over your body. You apply Ren then cause it to become like a dense protective skin all over you. It isnt a strong as Ko because it is spread out but it is more practical and it does lessen any damage inflicted. Finally Ryu, this is the ability to manipulate the flow of Aura through your body with the advanced use of Ten. You can control the Aura's flow by increasing or decreasing the amount of Aura in any given part of your body at any given time." By the time he finally got dont explaining i look over and see smoke coming out of Gon's ears.
