Jax rode in the back of the ambulance with Logan who wouldn't stop crying, Jax was covered in Jackie's blood.

From what the EMT said the bullet went straight through her shoulder but the impact of the shot knocked her out

"Princess you gotta calm down" Jax said rubbing her back

"I hurt mommy" Logan cried

"She's gonna be fine I promise" Jax said hugging his daughter tightly

"Daddy make her better please" Logan cried

"I'm trying baby I'm trying" Jax said watching as the EMTs checked Jackie's vitals

Jax sat with Logan in the waiting room while Jackie was in surgery

"Daddy I'm sorry" Logan said snuggling up to Jax

"It's okay baby, you did good" Jax said

"Is momma gonna be upset with me?" Logan asked

"No I promise" Jax said kissing the top of Logan's head

Jax sat with a sleeping Logan in the chair inside of Jackie's hospital room he was so exhausted, so many thoughts running through his head most of them about Tara lying on the floor bleeding and then Jackie lying on the floor kept coming into his mind.

When Jax came to Texas just a few days ago he wasn't expecting anything but to ask Jackie to take the boys and he would leave, but something sparked inside of him, he felt new Jackie felt new to him. Something he hasn't felt in years. Before Tara was murdered their love life was going down the drain, she was trying to leave with the boys and filed for divorce. He tried making things work between them a few times but she was pretty adamant about getting out of Charming.

After seeing Jackie after all these years his heart ached to be normal again to feel something besides brokenness and hate. He wasn't exactly sure how he felt towards Jackie just yet but it was deep.

Jax watched as Jackie stirred awake looking around, her eyes landing on Jax and Logan sitting next to her

"Hey you" Jackie whispered

Jax placed his hand on hers and smiled

"Welcome back" Jax smiled

"What happened?" Jackie asked

"Logan bit Jason and he shot you in the shoulder it went right through so no serious damage" Jax said

"And him?" Jackie asked

"He's still kicking but there's a restraining order I made sure of that" Jax said

"How did you get that?" Jackie asked

"Because I am Logan's dad and I feared for her safety" Jax said

"Your amazing. But I'm ready to get out of Texas" Jackie said trying to sit up

"I am too. Happy and Chibs are here packing you guys up" Jax said

"I'm in no condition to drive to California Jax" Jackie said

"No worries, my bike is in the back of your truck and I'm driving you and Logan home. I was able to get a rental house for now it's not too big but it's outside of Charming" Jax said

"Thank you" Jackie said

"No Jackie thank you for doing this, moving half way across the country for me" Jax said

"I'm doing it for the kids" Jackie said

"Your amazing for doing this" Jax said squeezing her hand
