Justin looked out the window too "yeah I see them they are still fighting but losing" he told us watching them. "Let's go help them" I said grabbing my pole "grab your gear we are heading out." I grabbed some arrows and opened the door lunging them in the heads of zombies. The other 2 followed as we made are way over. I couldn't see them from where I was but I believed that Brian and Justin had truly seen them so I kept going. I looked behind to see how the others were doing. There was no one except the flesh eating zombies. I was scared,What if they were eaten and were now looking to kill me. From what I could see there was a lake and some old canoes about 100 feet down. That's where I was going then. I started thinking while running to the lake,"the lake leads down to Kensington about 6 hours down. If I get in now I can make it there by sundown and get home by night. But what about the others... No I can't go back I have to put them behind me and go for my own sake. This could be my last chance to survive." When I got to the canoes I found that there was a kayak next to it. I decided to take the kayak. I threw my bow and arrows inside and grabbed a nearby paddle. I scooted the kayak into the water then jumped in. "Since zombies don't breath they can follow in the water. I have to move fast. I wonder if the zombies are in Kensington?" I thought. I didn't have much time so I started paddling fast. I knew it wouldn't be long before I ha some guests. Sure enough within 3 minutes there was zombies in the water coming after me. I pulled my paddle in and loaded my bow aiming at ones head. As I looked closer I almost dropped the now i the water. It wasn't a zombie it was Jason running to catch up with me. I immediately pulled my paddle back out and started to paddle backward trying to stop myself for him to catch up. When he was close I grabbed him and he pulled himself up on the back of the kayak making it wobble. I was amazed that he was still alive. Blood was all over his green D&D t-shirt and he had cuts and bruises across his body. He was breathing heavy and was missing his knife. "Where did nick go?" I asked him slowly paddling again. "He is dead one of the zombies now." He said sadly. I was speechless for minutes. "Did you have to kill him?" I asked still in shock that he was gone. "Yes I had to kill him." Jason said looking behind him. "That must have hurt to do that..." I answered looking for any signs of zombie. We kept going and sat speechless for a while. I handed him the bow and arrows "take this in case anymore zombies appear." I told him setting it next to him. He grabbed it and slung the arrows around his shoulder. The bow was a blue original with a silencer in the top And an arrow already set. "Do you think we will make it home alive?" I asked nervously, "I don't thinks o buddy" he told me looking at the bow "I don't think anyone will make it alive."
