Just hold on

*Jack's POV*
'Okay Chloe, first we're gonna numb you up'
She's letting me watch closely as I'm interested, and I feel like this puts Chloe more at ease.
Dr Low takes out a large needle and Chloe obediently opens her mouth, her eyes clenched closed. The injection goes into her gum slowly, and she squeezes my hand hard as it goes in.

Then Doctor Low bring out the drill. I know this is one of the things that scares Chloe most.
She takes a sharp breath as the dentist is setting up the drill. She looks up at me, fear in her blue eyes, and I smile gently and stroke her reassuringly.
The doctor starts the drilling into her tooth as the area has been numbed.
Chloe's completely tense as the drill is plunged in and out of her tooth.
The drill is going fast and I can't stand the noise, it goes straight through me.
After about 3 minutes, the drilling is over.
Chloe looks relieved but she knows it's far from over.
Water is sprayed into her mouth and then suctioned back out.
Then doctor low brings out the filling thats going inside the freshly cleaned hole. She insists the paste in and sets it with a blue light.

30 MINUTES LATER...

Now both fillings are done. I'm so so proud of Chloe, she's been doing so well. But now it's time for the hard bit; one of her teeth being taken out.
The doctor shows me the affected area and I understand why. It has a large cavity and most of it has begun to decay away. She must've been in so much pain!!
The area is all numbed up and we're ready to start the procedure.
First, she clamps the tooth with pliers.
'Okay Chloe, you will feel a lot of discomfort and pressure'
Chloe nods.
And so it begins.

The doctor is wiggling the tooth from side to side, trying to ease it out. She finally manages to pull the tooth out and blood rushes out of the hole.
Chloe chokes and coughs the blood everywhere, all over herself and over my hand. She puts her hand over her mouth and a tear creeps out of her eye.
'Let me just put a gauze in and we're done' the doctor instructs and does as she says, and that's the end.

'I'm so proud of you baby', I smile at her, and help her out of the chair.
