I crouched way low in the prickly bushes in Central Park. I could see the two vampires we have been tracking. I could hear humming in my head and I let out a muted breath. My ears flicked slightly before turning towards the two figures. They were talking in low voices, and even with my heightened hearing I could barely hear them.

"That party was fun." A woman's voice said. It was slightly high and throaty. I could see her, too. Her blonde hair pooled about her shoulders. Her purple dress clung to her hourglass figure, and I noticed some parts were a way deeper colour. It was blood, I realized.

"Of course it was. We were there. And it ended with such a bang." A man's voice answered her. He sounded bored, but his voice was deep and melodic. It made me sick. He was wearing a tuxedo. Some of his jacket was also darker, blood no doubt.

"Jenna. One the count of three." I said in my mind. "Okay." she answered after a second.

"One." I crouched a bit lower and slunk out a bit, barely making a sound. The two kept right on talking, clearly not noticing us.

"Two." I could see a grey wolf, slunk as low as I was. She seemed to nod at me and I chuffed softly. The two paused, and I knew they could hear me.

"Three!" We lunged at them, and it all went red.

                                                                         ***************

"What you two did was incredibly stupid, and I'm severely disappoined in you." Vince said. Vince is the alpha of my pack. He was standing in the doorway of my living room. His messy brown hair fell over his eyes, and seemed to tickle his neck. His normally warm blue eyes were angry, but it didn't show on his face. He was wearing a black boatneck long T-shirt with baggy, dark blue jeans. His feet were bare.

I stayed silent. Jenna had gone home, she already got this conversation. "Da...but they were right there and..." I frowned, trailing off. I thought we had done the right thing, but Vince apparently didn't. I drew up my knees to my chest and rested my cheek on them.

"It doesn't matter where they were. You and Jenna couldn't have handled it." he said, folding his arms. He looked utterly serious, and I felt rage well up inside of me. He had no business saying that to me. Jenna and I had done something right.

"Then how the bloody hell are we still alive!? They had killed many people before we got to them, and they would've killed more if we hadn't killed them when we did!" I said, my voice sounding surprisingly angry. That was weird, it normally sounds gentle and hypnotic, according to some people.

He was suddenly towering over me. I was pinned against my couch, laying down. "Alissia, it doesn't matter how many people died! You two could've died! And frankly, I don't give a damn about humans. I don't." he said angrily.

"Then what about Amour!? What is she!?" The words were out before I could hold them back. I couldn't help it though. Here he was, claiming to not care about humans when he's constantly making out with one.

My words shut him up, and he stared at me, not saying a word. "Ali..." he breathed, his voice soft. I squeezed my eyes shut, suddenly wanting to kiss him. I won't. I most definitely will not -

I felt something soft prress against my lips, and my eyes opened slightly. His face was close to mine, and his were closed. His long eyelashes brushed against my cheekbones. "I'm sorry. Take me. Take me now." his voice was sexy in my mind.

And I did.
