Jacob's P.O.V

Dinner with my family was great, despite Sophie not coming. She would have enjoyed it very much.

Anyways I txt her & tell her that I'm on my way home.

She never texted back, which was odd. But hey it's 12am now, yeah Ik your probably thinking why in the world was dinner so long, well it isn't really just "dinner" with my family sometimes. We usually just hang out and do fun things together, play music & games, then dinner.

Any who she might be asleep right now, so that may be why she hasn't responded to my text.

Arrives Home

I came in and sat down left overs I brought for me and Sophie on the table & head to our bedroom.

"Sophie?" I called out, but there was no response.

She wasn't in the bedroom, so I searched around the house.

She wasn't anywhere.

Where would she be at a time like this?

I recognize that text tone anywhere, it was her phone & it was coming from our bed room.

Her phone was laying on our bed, and it was blowing up with text messages and notifications.

I scrolled down & saw mines & I also saw some else.

It was a text saying "hurry up I'm outside babe" from someone in her contacts named "Jake, which didn't sound right at all.

Luckily I had my finger print on her phone so I quickly unlocked it & pulled up her & this guy's messages. It read...

Jake🍆😍: Hey, um you doing anything tonight because my girlfriend thinks I'm ubering right now and I'm not, I've just been thinking about you😏🙈-5:22pm

Me: Well my boyfriend wants me to come to dinner with his family which is lame because I've totally been thinking about you too☺️💦 I'll see if I can cancel.-5:34pm

Jake😍🍆: So have you canceled it yet because my girlfriend should be heading out to work right about now & you know she'll be gone 🙃-7:28pm

Me: Yeah Yeah It's totally cancelled-7:29pm

Jake: Great because I'm right out side so hurry if we're gonna do this 😅-7:31pm

Wow. This explains so much. How could I have been so blind and not see this.

Maybe it's because we've been together for nearly a year, well we were together.

A tear slipped on my face when I glanced at the text messages again, then I quickly threw that phone out of my sight.

Pain began to overcome my body. This all feels so unreal & I absolutely have no idea what to do.

Well first things first, Im gonna start by packing up my things.

My heart felt like is was burning, more and more tears build up. As I begin the process, I thought of all the memories we had. She was the love of my life, and well apparently I'm not her's.

After about 15-20 minutes I finished up packing my major things and put them all in the car. I'll come back for the rest of my things later.

I just have to get out of here. I got in my car & just drove.
