Hope's POV:
It's a chilly, fall night. I just left my job working as a waitress at Red Lobster.
"Bye guys, See ya'll on Monday" I said. "Bye, have fun with your lover boy" said my best friend Angel.
"Girl, ain't nobody getting between these legs without a ring on my finger" I said as I put up my left ring finger. "Got that right". I hugged Angel, said goodbye to my manager and left the restaurant.

Even thought I'm making a lot of money at Red Lobster, I still have yet to buy myself a car. But, trust me imma get there. Usually, my boyfriend Jackson picks me up since he has a car, but when I asked he said he couldn't because he has "business to handle".Whatever that means, so I guess I'm walking.
My apartment isn't that far from my job so it's no big deal that I'm walking home. I take out my phone from my pocket and call Jackson.

"Hey babe, I just left work, I'm walking home now" I said into the phone as I walk past my job."That's great babe, I wish I could chat but, I'm in the middle of something" responded Jackson. "What exactly is so important that you have to cut me off and not be able to pick me up from work?", "Are you really trying to argue right now?" asked Jackson as he groaned on the other side of the phone. "Nobody's arguing with you Jackson, I was just asking a-", I was cut off as I heard moans and groans coming from his side of the phone." Who the fuck is moaning and groaning Jackson?" I said as I was now getting angry. I know he ain't with no other bitch right now. "Oh, that, it's nothing you know just working out"," Jackson, you not slick who the fuck is that?" I asked one more time. "It's my mother okay, she's sick so I'm taking care of her", I then hear some more moans. "As you can hear, she is very sick so I'm going to fix her some soup, see you later babe, I love you, bye", "Jackson, don't you dare hang u-" But I was cut off as he hung up in a rush.

I tried to hold in my anger but it got the best of me. I ended up kicking the trash can on the corner of the street. "Does he really think I'm that dumb?", I said as I talk out loud," I just talked to his mother this morning and she was perfectly fine, if anything she sounded better than I did".

I don't know what's going on with him but, I'll be damned if it continues on my watch that's for sure.
