Chapter 4: First Gym

"Humm you seem to be doing fine once you have more than six pokemon, other pokemon you catch will be automatically sent to the Pc" was heard over the memers of everyone.

After finally reaching Viridian city and its pokemon center, and after getting his pokemon checked out Red immediately went and called the professor "I understand" Red replied to the professor.

"Whats wrong? you look a little down" Said the professor voicing his concern.

"No I'm just fine" Red assured him,

"Ok if you say so, but the journey is long don't push yourself to hard" he advised.

"Right" Red said smiling.

"Red" he heard his name called and hanged up after telling the professor bye, he walked over to the counter where his raven travel companion waited.

"I wanna thank you for waiting" Nurse Joy said happily placing red's pokemon infront of him, "you'll be glad to know that you pokemon are completely fighting fit, we hope to see you again" she said her smile never leaving her face.

"Kay thanks alot" Red said in reply, taking his pokeballs.

Waving bye to her while leaving, I turned to him gaining the attention of Red, "to the next town?" He asked him, reciving a nod in answer, as you both made your way to the next town, after a while of walking you both saw a sign.

"Pewter city huh" Red said as we both continued on our treck. After reaching the city we looked around town and eventually ended up in a museum.

"Did you hear about the gym leader Brock? He quickly demolished a pokemon trainer who was trying to defeat all the gyms" We both heard behind them, turning around you saw two girls.

"Gym?" Red questioned as I continued to listen to them, was it easedropping. yes did I care no.

"Wow I heard that new challengers come to brock's gym almost every single day" one of the girls said.

"Thats cause the Pewter city gym leader Brock is super famous" the other replied, 'can't be that famous since I've never heard of him' I though to myself.

I looked at Red as said boy was looking in the directions the girls went, "Gym, the gym leader" was all he said to himself.

After a while of looking eventually we found the gym, but had another problem, more like two problems and they were standing outside the door, "what against brock?" The guy who I would admit was pretty handsome questioned.

"You wanna battle against brock now? Your a million light years away from being ready for that" the brown haired girl said.

"And you know this how?" I asked with a blank stare really not in the mood for someone like her.

"Because I can" she said back matter-of-factly 'I am going to rip out that weave she calls hair right out of her pretty little head' I thought smiling while my eye was twitching up a storm.

"I was told to learn the basics of battle from gym leaders" Red told them.

"Listen how long have you been with your pokemon?" The guy asked.

"Five days" Red simply stated, causing me to sweatdrop, 'This boy is way to honest for his own good sometimes' I thought.

"Uhhh" was all the guy said.

"Seriously!? And you wanna battle Brock now, that's very funny you make me laugh" She said snobishly 'okay thats it I am letting eevee shadowball her' I thought glaring at the girl, the door was then opened as a voice was head.

"He's my guest I invited this kid", the duo turned around shocked.

"What siriously brock?" The guy questioned, as the guy from before stood their, the two travel companions ran up to him, not with out me of course sending the girl a smirk that showed, 'thats right bitch I am better than you'.

"Uh wait, you mean your Brock?" Red questioned.

"Don't talk like that to a gym leader" the duo behind you both shouted 'Ok my patience with this girl is wearing thin and the boy is starting to aswell, no matter how handsome' I thought as eevee and I deadpaned at them, Red however just ignored them,

"Thats right, I'm the Pewter city gym leader, Brock, and what's your name?" Brock asked.

"Its Red" he answered.

Brock then turned to me, "and you?" he asked.

"I'm angel but I'm not here to battle you he is" I said pointing at Red.

"well have you got an answer for the question I asked you earlier?" Brock asked Red,

"To be honest no I don't, but its because i don't have one that I've come here" Red said causing me to smile.

"Alright then" Brock said crossing hid arms over his chest, after that he lead you all to a room that was covered with rocks and sand, perfect for rock type pokemon.

"Have you got any badges?" Brock asked Red after entering the room.

"Badges? No I don't have any" Red said looking at him.

"I see" Brock said walking over to a wall that opened up and a shelf holding six pokeballs came out.

" Well then, I'll battle you with these two pokemon" he said picking two out at random.

"With two" red said confused and I had to admit that I was too 'but I'm not the gym leader so who am I to question' I thought.

"My specialty is rock type pokemon" Brock said as he threw one of the two and out came a bolder looking pokemon with arms.

"Ok I'm counting on you" Red said turned around and threw his pokeball letting out...... Charmander?.

"Oh no" I whispered to myself, knowing how much of a disadvantage Red was at.

"Aren't fire types at a disadvantage when going against rock types? What this kid's plan?" I heard the guy ask.

"I have no idea why he did that, but I just know like I said this kid has light years before he can beat brock" the girl answered him, now this got my blood boiling.

"Don't under estimate my friend just yet i know he will win" I said turning and glaring at the girl, I then turned back and whispered to myself "I hope".
