There once was a young girl with copper locks and eyes that resembled gems. One could say that she was a unique beauty to behold. Not too tall - not too short. She walked with a certain kind of grace, almost of as if she was dancing. The girl was of middle class, never going without but never wanting. Humble.
The day she was born was a chilly day in early spring. Her mother would say that the sky reminded her of her daughter's eyes. 'Twas not the sky the young lass would receive her name from, but the looming creatures that her mother watched.

Raven.

A name that would most suit the child as she began to grow.

Author's note: This is the first story of any kind that I have written out of sheer willingness that was not for an English assignment. Please feel free to leave any comments regarding grammar, plot structure, questions, etc. I hope you enjoy.
Also this is meant to be short. I'm not sure where I'm heading with it anyways.
