{  Dan }

Dan Howell is a teenage boy. His dark coloured hair swooped from his head to the corner of his eyes. He was quite a confident fellow. He liked the way his hair matched with his eyes, and he was also quite fond of his dimple.

But one thing made Dan the happiest.

His cat, Phil.

Phil was a tuxedo cat, Black fur with a polar white underbelly. He had striking blue eyes that could pierce your soul from a simple glance.

But this wasn't all Dan liked about him,

It's almost as though the cat listened. His emotions reflected off of Dans. He was, in retrospect, the greatest cat of all time.

"Daniel!" Dan's mum yelled. Dan groaned, swiping his hair from his eye.

"I'm up!" He replied in the same tone.

Phil looked at Dan from the foot of the bed, looking as mad as Dan was.

"Sorry, Philly, but I've got to go to school." He planted a soft pet on Phil's head, he purred in content.

Dan raced to his closest, pulling on a dark Violet shirt and some black jeans. He looked In the mirror, sighing a tad from the bit of fat drooping from his belly.

Dan quickly got over it, grabbing his backpack, and kissing Phil's head. Phil yawned in response.

School went by fast, luckily. He got home, deciding to do his homework later.

After some walking around, and just general tidying up, he noticed Phil's food bowl had not been touched. The food phil usually devoured was still there.

Dans eyebrows burrowed in confusion.

"Phil?" He called, whistling a little,

"Philly, do you want a treat?" He looked around. Under the couch, in his closets, in the drawers, outside, but he was no where.

"Hmph. I'll have to ask mum." He concluded that she may have taken him to school, since he was a well behaved cat and was good with children.

Dan waited, waited a little to long actually, until his mother finally arrived home. He gave her a peck on the cheek before looking around.

"Where's Phil?" He asked, at this point utterly confused.

"I-I don't have him?" His Mum responded in a confused tone,"Don't you have him?"

At this point, tears were swelling up in dans eyes,

"N-no. I thought y-you," he began to cry,"brought him to s-school." His mum shook her head, patting her son on the back.

"I'm sure he'll turn up, honey. He's a silly cat." Dan nodded, she was most likely right, phil always turned up when he needed him.
