That Fateful Day in the Park

It all started on breezy day in the middle of summer.

Cancer was sitting on a park bench reading a a book she had just bought.She was always found reading.She didn't have many friends and her mom was always telling her to get out of the house.

She hated it when her mom would lecture her about needing to be more social.It wasn't like she told people to leave her alone,they just didn't want to talk to her even when she talked to them.

Deep in thought she heard a meow.She looked over to see a grey kitten in a box.

Who would leave such a helpless being all by itself she wondered?

She decided to take it home and feed it.

Just as she was about to pick up the box she heard someone yell--

"WATCH OUT!!!!"

She quickly turned around and was knocked over by someone on their bike.

He was a tall guy with black hair and red tips. He was wearing a black shirt with dark jeans and sneakers

"Stupid woman," he exclaimed "Didn't you hear me?"

She looked down and apologized

"I'm sorry" she said quietly 

"The heck you are," he said " you nearly messed up my bike"

She didn't say anything.She just kept looking down.

"I'll pay for the damages" she said reaching into her bag

She pulled out some money and looked up at him

"N-No need" he staggered

'Wow' he thought

"Just take it" she said "No need making a a fuss if you won't except"

She shoved the money into his hand,picked up the box with the kitten and walked away

'Who in the world was she' he thought as he watched her walk off in the opposite direction.

"Her eyes..." he said aloud as he looked at the money in his hands

Little did they know this was only the beginning...
