Loki's head is held high, a grin plastered on his face as guards lead him into the throne room, his chains clanging with each step and echoing throughout the hall. The King looks down at him from his grand chair, staff in hand. The only thing Loki can see through his eyes is a strong anger and displeasure. Odin was forced to acknowledge his son. All these years he had been shadowed by Thor, the Great Son of Asgard. His brother's name brought a bad taste to his mouth but he stayed up straight anyhow. After all, he was finally in the spotlight.
Frigga, his mother that he still cared for spoke up, outstretching a shaking palm towards him as he walked by. "Loki..."
"Hello, Mother. Have I made you proud?" He asked sarcastically, feigning innocence.
"Please... Don't make this worse." She begged in a hushed tone, unshed tears glittering in her eyes at the man that she called her son.
"Define worse." He replied simply, leaning towards her with a cruel light in his emerald eyes. He knew what he did, and he was not going to feel guilty about any of it.
"Enough! I will speak to the prisoner alone." Odin butted in, his voice ringing with power throughout the large room. Frigga sent her husband a look of despair, as if begging him to have mercy but left quickly, her footsteps clicking against the marble floor as she exited the palace. Loki watched her every move as she left, knowing in the back of his mind that he may never be allowed to see her in person again. He was regretful for that, but that only.
The god stepped closer to the King, a cruel chuckle escaping his thin lips. "I really don't see what all the fuss is about." He said, giving him his best unimpeachable grin.
"Do you not truly feel the gravity of your crimes? Where ever you go there is war, ruin and death." Odin sent him a glare, and for a second Loki felt quite small. But being a god of lies, he hid it well and was able to come up with a quick reply.
"I would have done to rule the people of Earth as a benevolent god. Just like you." He taunts, his eyes still locked onto the man who sat in front of him.
Odin still sat casually, attempting to point out the stupidity in his words. "We are not gods! We're born, we live, we die, just as humans do."
Loki cocks his head, giving the King a sickeningly sweet smile. "Give or take five thousand years."
"All this because Loki desires a throne." he mused, his son had become even more of a dissapointment throughout their small discussion. Looking at his face, he could tell he had hit a nerve.
"It is my birthright!" Loki snapped, his glares becoming more intense with an unquenchable hatred for the person he had called his father for so many years.
"YOUR BIRTHRIGHT WAS TO DIE! AS A CHILD! CAST OUT ON A FROZEN ROCK." Odin boomed, gripping onto the arm rests of his chair as he shouted. Loki found himself shifting uncomfortably, but not losing his stare. Odin relaxed a bit, taking a breath before continuing. "If I hadn't taken you in, you would not be here now to hate me."
His 'son' stepped forward, regaining his pride. "If I am for the axe then for mercy's sake, just swing it." He ordered sarcastically, trying not to shake with the fury that boiled within him. "It's not that I don't love our little talks, it's just... I don't love them." The Prince sneered, glaring defiantly up at his 'father', his gaze unwavering.
"Frigga is the only reason you're still alive." Odin said in a bored tone, yet it still held the underlying threat. "And you will never see her again." He had confirmed Loki's suspicion and it crushed him, yet he still didn't show it.
The King stood, straightening up as he looked down at the prisoner. "I have spent many days planning your punishment, what could be worthy for the god of lies? Of mischief? What shall I do to make him feel regret?" He started his speech causing Loki to roll his eyes in boredom. He was all to familiar with the length of his rants.
"For him to rot away in the dungeon would be much too easy, even though I would enjoy it greatly. To kill him is not an option for the Queen does not allow it. What ever could I do to make an evil man feel remorse?" He trailed on, pacing the throne room in front of Loki, but his cuffs and the guards made sure he stayed out of reach.
The tension in the room could have been cut with a knife it was so thick, and the son and father seemed to be having a silent battle for dominance. Eventually, the King continued on. "It has been my decision to banish you." He stated, Loki's jaw falling open a little. He wouldn't do that, he couldn't!
"Without powers, you will roam the rest of your days on Earth, the place you have grown so fond of. Let us see how you like being a mortal, shall we?" Loki was speechless for the first time in his life. He was going to have to stay on the wretched place he had failed to conquer, out of all places! He would much rather starve to death in the icy wind of Jotunheim or be slayed by ferocious elves in Svartalfheim.
But, no matter how much he could have protested, Asgard's decision had been made. Loki would be a Midgardian until he changed his ways, which very well could take forever. Loki was pulled away, not stopping his hard glare towards Odin until a door separated them.
He cursed Asgard as he was dragged to the Bifrost, struggling against the guards. After about an hour of his constant struggle, he held his head as high as he could manage and walked straight to his end. If he was going to leave, he would do it with dignity.
Odin was there, chatting with Heimdall as they awaited his arrival. "Greetings, Loki. And farewell!" The gatekeeper's voice boomed with a chuckle as he stood, taking his spot with his sword to turn on the rainbow bridge's transportation unit.
Glaring, the god of mischief stood on his appointed spot, waiting for the tug he was about to feel in his abdomen that would take him away. "Farewell, Father. Do tell Mother I said goodbye, and to Thor a friendly good riddance, yes?" He spat, his arms crossed firmly over his chest.
Odin ignored his hate-filled words as he began the banishment. "Loki Laufeyson. I, Odin Allfather take from you your powers as a god for you do not deserve such a gift. In the name of my father and his father before, I cast you out!"
There was the tug. Loki was shoved from his realm, colors flashing by his eyes in a whirl of light and sound. It temporarily blinded him from his thoughts and he could only stare in wonder at the scene before him. And without warning, he landed quite ungracefully in a cloud of dust, letting out a small groan. Loki was in Midgard.

Hello, everyone! This is my second fanfiction I have started here on this account, my first being a Sifki fic called "When War and Lies Collide". It is not yet finished but I update frequently, feel free to check it out!
I've wanted to type this story for awhile now, and I was finally inspired by a funny dream I had recently. I was sitting in my living room watching the show 'Jackass' on my couch, and just as SteveO got whacked in the nuts by a baseball, I heard someone laughing next to me. TADAA! It was Loki. He was watching Jackass with me and dying of laughter because someone had just got wailed by a baseball where the sun don't shine. So yeah.
WELCOME TO MY FANFICTION! :D If you did enjoy this chapter and want to see more, please vote and comment! If you want to keep up with it and be notified of updates, add it to your library! Also, if you want to keep up to date on my other fanfictions as well, follow me!
