Lucy was walking on my usual route home when, she heard a mewling.
She looked around, and eventually saw Black Cat. He was a cute little kitten, with his multicolored eyes, and deep black fur that just sucked you in, unable to resist SUCH PURE CUTENESS!!! At the time she was being taught to not pick up strays, but she couldn't help it. She decided to bring him home without a second thought.
As she walked in to my drunkard abusive father passed out on the couch, I couldn't help but play a trick on him. So, I put Black Cat on him and gently woke him up.. When he awoke, black cat was in his face! It seemed that doesn't like tricks.. And it turned out, he hadn't slept it off. As he picked up the kitten, he yelled, " You little ****! You brought this little mongrel home?!" He threw kitten out the door as she chased after the kitten.
She picked up the kitten and ran, not knowing if my father was chasing me, not knowing if she was going to soon feel the sharp sting of a belt across my back. Soon, I collapsed crying, not knowing what to do. I heard a voice, so I looked around, not seeing a soul.
But then, clear as day someone said, " Why are you crying child? You may have just saved my life you know." "Who's there!?" And again I heard the voice, " Look down child." The kitten was in my lap.. Could the kitten be talking? "Yes child, I am talking."
At that moment, I felt like I could
trust this voice, so for some reason,
I did not freak out. " How do you talk kitten?" "Does that matter now child? Again, why are you crying?" "Because kitten, I am lost." "Child, the nearest town is right here. You just need to believe it." " What do you mean kitten?"
