Leader stuff and anger

I made my way down the stairs to the continuous knocking on the door. I felt exhausted. I got no sleep the night before. I kept dreaming of Sebastian, killing my parents and Damien. He still taunts me, even when his dead. I opened the large wooden door to reveal a very pissed off Will. He pushed pass me, steam coming out of his ears, his eyes red with anger.

"Will, now really isn't the time-"

"Isn't the time? When were you going to decide that it was the time to tell me that you have a foreign wolf in London territory."

"Will, please-"

"No, don't you please me. It is procedure to notify us of any foreign attacks or victims in-"

"Don't you read me the rule book!" At this point, I was one tired and mighty pissed off wolf, "For your information, I was about to report this to you this morning before you came banging on the door!" Will always seemed to look surprised when I bit back, must be the wolf in me. I rubbed my hand over my face, "Look, I've only been introduced to a world that I was born into but had no idea about and I've just become the pack leader of a large wolf pack. I do not need to put up with any more of your crap!"

"Um, Miss Valcourt?" Fane stood at the top of the stairs, the goop had fallen off his wounds and revealed pale scars, but his body did look in good shape, which made Angeline's wolf howl in response.

"Ah, yes Fane."

"Is everything ok?"

"Everything's just fine." replied Will. I turned to him, "Actually, no. Everything's not fine. You may be a Hunter Mr Devonshire but that doesn't mean that you own the place."

"I never said-"

"No, but your attitude suggests otherwise. Next time I see you, I would like the same respect you would treat any other person here with."

Will's jaw tightened, "Of course. My apologies Miss Valcourt." There was a hint of mockery in his voice, I narrowed my eyes at him, "Please leave. I'll report this incident accordingly before nightfall."

He headed out the door before adding, "Don't forget to bring the foreign wolf."

"I know the rules." I said before shutting, well more slamming, the door in his face. Fane still stood on the staircase, baffled.

"What?"

"Oh, nothing. You two seem pretty tense."

"We have a history that I'd rather forget about for the time being. Are you hungry?"

"Famished."

"Good, Rosie made you some breakfast before attending to her other duties. The kitchens just down here." he followed me down the hall to the old fashioned kitchen that matched the old fashioned house. I pulled a plate out of the oven with Rosie's yellow oven-mitts and placed it on the mat on the bench. It was a plate full of bacon, sausages and rabbit meat. When a wolf begins to recover, they need tons of protein to strengthen their muscles as they heal, if they get weak and need to change, it'd be just as painful as the first time your wolf comes out. I sat on a stool opposite Fane as he consumed the plate of meat, he was beyond famish, he was ravenous. He had finished his meal and looked so much healthier than he did on the staircase.

"So, what kind of history do you and that Hunter have? If you don't mind me asking."

I shook my head, "No, of course not. When I first came here, I had no idea that I was a wolf. You see, my parents were murdered by Sebastian, he wanted to have control of the pack but for that to happen he had to kill my father."

"Didn't he challenge him?"

"He did, but no one supported him. Everyone loved my father and he loved them.. But he loved my mother and I more. My mother was human, therefore powerless. Sebastian abducted her and me when I was baby.. By the time Damien found us, my mother had bled out whilst trying to protect me. Sebastian tricked my father and killed him. Damien saved me and sent me to France, Sister Grace was a friend of his and she looked after me till it was time to send me back."
