chapter one

Alex  POV

        I'm starting a new school. At this point I should be used to it ,but truthfully I'm not I'm no where near being used to moving schools ,but I guess I just have to deal with it ,and I'm fine with that at this point. Its refreshing sometimes to start new schools you get a completely clean slate and I like that. I always have but I just issues with meeting new people and its a big problem but I don't know I feel a lot better about this year I think I'm gonna meet people who actually care about me this year.

      Someone bumps into me and it sent me flying into the lockers and it was a bit of a wake up call. I'm at the bottom of the social ladder. After they had bumped into me someone  who was walking next to them started talking "Hey no Charlotte. Remember were nice to the new kids. sometimes but I've got a good feeling about this one. So be nice" She wacked her in the back of the head after saying that and turned to me while Charlotte ran down the hallway to a group of kids who didn't look like the nicest  "Sorry new girl. She doesn't have any impulse control. Let me make it up to you." she smiled after and looked over and saw Charlotte and chuckled. I made a slightly weird face that I didn't think that she would notice but she did "what's with the weird face new kid?" I blushed a little "sorry it just you two seem like really good friends and well I've never really known what that's like so it was just weird to me and it just kind of threw me off". "well maybe that will change today ,but I got to get to class so maybe I'll see you around"

       After that she ran off and entered a class and it might have been fate but we ended up having first period together and just my luck as well Charlotte was in there as well and I don't think she likes me very well and not because of what happened before but because she was glaring at me from across the class room the entire time. I know I shouldn't assume anything but I think that Charlotte and that girl have something going on like maybe they're dating or something and that's fine I mean I'm gay as hell myself so that doesn't bother me it's just something. Something I just get a weird vibe from both of them and I cant quite tell why and it kind of bugs me but oh well.

     The bell rang and it scared me a bit cause I was busy writing something down but as I turned around I noticed the girl who I think is dating Charlotte was staring at me or at least looking around me. The rest of the day was a bit boring but it was my first day so I didn't really anticipate on much happening. As I open my car door someone closes the door and it dose scare me and then I calm down and turn around. "And I though that you liked me. I guess not." the girl from earlier says while smiling like an idiot and it does make me laugh a little and smile as well "oh no I do it's just I'm new and I though you were busy so I didn't think to look for you and plus I wouldn't know where to look. I mean I did just meet you today so I don't know much about you and in fact I don't even know your name" As I sit on the hood of my car she starts talking "then lets fix that. Hey my name is Lyric. and your name is?" she holds her hand out and I shake it "My name is Alex".  All the sudden Charlotte runs over and puts her arm around Lyric "and well Alex you have met Charlotte before. But that wasn't a very good first impression was it?' she chuckles and my god is it cute when she does that and it makes me just smile "Yea no it wasn't a very good one but I always believe in second chances so. Hey Charlotte. My name is Alex" I hold my hand out and she just kind of looks at it then glares at me and I dismiss it but seriously why does she hate me? "What the fuck did you just say?" she says definitely angry. "Oh shit. I said that out loud didn't I? I'm sorry I just I don't know you just seem to hate me and I cant figure out why so I'm sorry if I offended you but you're the one that seems to have a problem with me" and right after I had said that I felt a sharp sting on my cheek and then I just saw her storming off. "is she always such a bitch?" I ask Lyric while rubbing my cheek, I'm actually surprised she's still here and actually seems worried. "not all the time but just when she thinks the person is competition" she looks back and sees something I think cause she turns around really fast "hey look I'm sorry I have to go but um call me" she gives me her number and right when she hands it to me something happens to her eyes cause I swear they turned a bright glowing blue and her normal eyes are a really dark brown. There is definitely something different about her and I'm gonna find out what it is. But for today I think I've had enough of this.

        As I'm driving home I decided to call her and she actually answers which is surprising but oh well. "Hey Lyric." I can hear her laugh " Hey Alex. Why'd you call? Is Charlotte chasing you or something?" after she says that I kind of freak out and I think she can tell cause she quickly adds "don't worry don't worry she's never done that okay don't worry and if she did I'll definitely have to talk to her" I nervously laugh " okay good I definitely got scared right there but no I just wanted to talk to you and ask you why you left so abruptly earlier and if I was going crazy or that it actually happened but I think I saw your eyes change color completely right before you left" she coughs and chuckles nervously "I just remembered that I had something very important to do after school and yea you might be going crazy my eyes are always this lovely dark brown so don't get your hopes up Alex" I laugh a bit "no no no I like your eyes I like the dark chocolate brown color. I've always liked chicks with brown eyes. I guess opposites do attract." after I say that I realize I shouldn't have "no no no not that I'm attracted to you or anything it just I've always found brown eyes atractive and fuck I messed up didn't I?" she laughs "no no its fine its defineitly fine I'm not taken. You do know that right?" I chuckle "yea no I was never given that information. I kinda thought that you and Charoltte were dating and thats why she didn't like me". she laughs histaricaly "no no I'm not dating Carolotte. Never again. okay so listen we did date for like 3 month and then we broke up and she still can't figure out how to back off and she thinks we're mates. I mean soulmates. Yea so its kind of hard to shake her but to clarify she's just my friend" I smile when I hear that and I think she could tell from the long silence casue I forget to say anything and she clears her throat "oh oops sorry I just zoned out for a second but um that good to know I'll definetly keep that in mind" she chuckles "hey its fine but I've got to go do something. My family needs me right now so maybe I can show you around town this weekend so we can get to know each other better and not have to worry about Charlotte chasing us both down. Plus I can tell you're from out of state so it'll be fun showing you around cause you won't know about anything around here so it'll all be new to you. So what do you say Alex? This saturday we go out and I can show you around?" I take a little time to think but then answer "Sure. Yea why the hell not. lets to it." after that she gives me her adress and i give her mine and we pick a time and then we hang up and I finally get out of my damn car. I had been sitting in my driveway for a while and my mom is making me come inside now. I have a good feeling about this saturday.

So hey this is my first writing thingy and tell me what you think about it and what i could work on and I'll definetly work on it.
