Cam's POV
I recently moved into a house with Aaron and life couldn't be better. We finally have our lives together and it's not as chaotic as it was. I'm finally 100% happy and so is Aaron. We do our own thing and have fun.
I was just chillin at home with Aaron, crushing him at Call of Duty.
"C'mon! I just respawned!" Aaron whined as I got my 10th headshot on him.
I laughed as I killed more bots. I focused, really into the game. All of a sudden, Aaron paused the game.
"What the hell?" I asked, hearing someone shot me and ruining my kill streak.
"Did you not hear the doorbell ring 20 times?" He chuckled.
I shrugged and got up with him. I opened the door, revealing someone I hadn't seen in almost 2 years: My Dad. But what was more puzzling was that he was holding a baby girl, maybe a year and half old.
"D-dad? What are you doing here?" I asked confused.
"Look, Cameron. I can't explain. I need you to take her and read the note in her baby bag." He said quickly, almost like he was panicking.
"Woah woah woah. Who is she?" I asked, completely clueless.
"Just read the note." He said, pushing the little girl into my arms and the baby bag into Aaron's.
"Wai-."
Before I could finish, he ran back to his car and took off.
"Dadda! Dadda!" The little girl started crying, making grabby hands in the direction of the car.
That threw me off big time.
We went inside and I handed her to Aaron as I looked through the bag and he calmed her down. I finally found the note.
Cameron,
This is very hard to explain. I'm sorry it had to be this way. I couldn't do it anymore.
About 2 years ago, I met a woman. One thing led to another and I got her pregnant. She left right after the baby was born. I can't take care of her. I just don't have it in me. This little girl is your sister, Bailey Mia Dallas. She's 18 months and was born on June 2nd, 2015. Please take care of her, Cameron.
I couldn't believe my eyes. I have a baby sister?
"What's it say?" Aaron asked, bouncing Bailey in his arms.
"Her name is Bailey...She's my sister..." I said in disbelief.
We looked at her. She does look a bit like Sierra and I, although we look a lot like our Mom.
"Dadda..." She sniffled.
I sighed and took her from Aaron.
"It's okay, princess. You're with me now. I'm Cameron, your brother." I said softly, smiling at the end.
She just stared at me.
"Can you say Cam?" I asked.
"C-cam." She said, struggling a bit.
"There you go." I laughed and she giggled a bit.
"I better call Sierra." I said, giving her back to Aaron.
I pulled out my phone and called her.
Phone Convo
S- Hello?
C- Hey sister...
S- What's the matter baby bro? You sound sad.
C- Not necessarily sad, just a bit surprised.
S- What do you mean? What happened?
C- Can you and Mom come over to the house? There's someone you gotta meet.
S- Cameron...Who?
C- Just come over. I'll explain when you get here.
S- I swear, if you knocked someone up, I wi-
C- Calm down, it's not that. Just come over?
S- *sighs* Okay, we'll be over in 15 minutes.
C- Thanks. See ya in a bit.
S- Byee.
End of Convo
"Alright, she'll be here in about 15 minutes." I said.
Aaron nodded and handed Bailey over.
"You're gonna meet your sister!" I said happily.
She giggled, making me smile. 15 minutes later, the doorbell rang. Aaron let them in while I stayed on the couch with Bailey.
"Okay. Who is this mystery per-"
She cut herself off when she saw Bailey.
"Cameron...Who is that?" Mom asked suspiciously.
"This is Bailey Mia Dallas. She's our baby sister." I said to Sierra.
They looked lost.
"I'm sorry...Sister?!" Sierra asked.
"From Dad. He dropped her off a half hour ago and said he couldn't take care of her and the mom is already long gone. He asked me to raise her." I said.
"Cam, you're 22. What makes him think you can raise a baby? Your life is hectic as it is." Sierra said.
"Not really. We're slowing down a bit now and I'm home more than 80% of the year. That's a big difference from last year. I love kids and I know I can do this. It's gonna be hard, but I can handle it." I said.
She sighed and looked at me.
"Fine. But if anything goes wrong, she comes with Brent and I." She said.
I smiled and kissed Bailey's cheek.
"Bailey, this is your sister, Sierra." I said.
"Hi princess!" She said happily.
Bailey giggled.
"Cece!" She said.
"She is just the cutest thing." Mom said.
We went over schedules and things she would need, and I said I'd go to the store tomorrow since it was getting late.
"Remember if you need anything, call me." Mom said, Sierra nodding in agreement.
"We'll be fine. I promise. See you guys tomorrow." I said.
They said bye and left. I looked through the baby bag and found a few pairs of clothes, some diapers, a pink fuzzy blanket, a pacifier, a few bottles, some small toys and some wipes.
"Well, let's get you to bed, Bailey." I said, picking her up and carrying her upstairs.
I changed her diaper and put her in some footsie pajamas.
"Hey Aaron, do we still have that portable crib from when Grayson slept over?" I asked.
He nodded and set it up while I made Bailey a bottle. I took her back upstairs and laid her down, handing her the bottle.
"Good night beautiful. I'll see you tomorrow." I said in a soft voice, kissing her forehead.
She smiled and started closing her eyes. I turned off the lights and closed the door.
I'm finally a big brother...
